The Lakers are trying to get it down to 1 player and the pair of draft picks.....
Clarkson, Randle, and both late 1st rounders...
There is no need to give up both Clarkson and Randle. The two late first rounders and Clarkson or RandleThe Lakers are trying to get it down to 1 player and the pair of draft picks.....
Who goes postal first...
@WiggyRuss or @ChiefsLakers67 ?
Lonzo Ball makes sales pitch for LeBron James to join him with Lakers
But if they give up all that, how will they get rid of Deng?
That is a bad trade. Be patient and you get him for free next year. Use one of those assets to move Deng.

I know.....but Magic wants to make a splash. If that trade went through and we drafted Ball.....41-41 is our ceiling. Until we add a max player next summer.
I really think the Lakers are scared he will get traded somewhere else and like the new city and sign an extension.
Screw making a splash. Be patient and actually prove you are competent.
Another thought. Trading for PG13 now actually makes it less likely you land LeBron or another comparable player. If the Lakers struggle next year with the kids, it isn't a big deal. What if they underachieve now with George and win 35 games. Would LeBron still consider them? I doubt it.
Adding George today is a bad idea. You give away assets for nothing and add pressure to win now on guys who might not be ready to.
Can you add a max guy with Deng?I know.....but Magic wants to make a splash. If that trade went through and we drafted Ball.....41-41 is our ceiling. Until we add a max player next summer.
Agree....Where though?
Cleveland was the only real viable threat and that is looking less likely by the hour. You have to being willing to take risks from time to time. Making this trade sets them back a long way and it isn't even necessary.
Can you add a max guy with Deng?
Lopez will be off the books.
Is that enough?
Agree....
But, Dj has a point.
He said he prefers to sign with the Lakers.
That doesn't totally exclude EVERYONE else.
I prefer Lobster.
But, if you set a plate of crab legs in front of me, I'm probably gonna eat them.
All-Star forward Paul George has informed the Indiana Pacers that he plans to become a free agent in the summer of 2018 and will leave the franchise – preferably for the Los Angeles Lakers, league sources told The Vertical
