And that's where the Cavs are delusional, imo.

You don't ask a player like LeBron to commit and then start trying to put a championship roster around him. That's completely backwards.

Any nba player would be stupid to verbally commit beyond their contract anyway.

I disagree. The Cavs brought the trade to Lebron because they were trying to get him the help to take down the Warriors.

Every season he's complained that he needs more help. They offer to bring in an all star caliber player and he won't opt in for another season or 2?

He could have verbally agreed contingent on them actually getting the trade done.

Rose and Wade in the same lineup.....not a good look.

They don't shoot great from 3.

Lebron thrives with 3 and D players in the lineup with him. So it makes sense to have those guys back him up.............sarcasm

Agreed. I'm fine with them both starting, but Lue will need to stagger their minutes opposite each other as much as possible, imo.

If I'm Steve Kerr, I'm probably more worried about the Spurs than I am the Thunder at this point. That's not to say that the Thunder don't have a dangerous amount of talent, but the Spurs present the biggest matchup problems to the Warriors. The addition of Rudy Gay is really underrated. The Spurs can put together a front court that stretches the Warriors out, but can also score inside. But it's also the cohesiveness and Pop that make a world of difference.

I've already thought of a few different game plans I'd have to go against the Thunder and I'm not anywhere near Kerr's level of thought. Spurs for me are much harder to game plan around.

Great signing with Thomas in bubble wrap.

I'd be tempted to start Rose and Wade in the backcourt much to Smith's chagrin, I'm sure...lol

Can't be any worse than having Dirk start ahead of you at Center...lol

Love Dirk.

But, Center?

Good grief.

Then there's the fact that everyone is completely overlooking the Spurs acting like they're a middling Western conference playoff team.
