I’m not saying Urban couldn’t win 5 games but he would find it difficult to compete for conference championships is not a stretch to say. He would probably be more consistent than Fitzgerald is, but I don’t see his ceiling being that much higher.

Harbaugh was able to do special things with Andrew Luck as his quarterback but he has not been able to come remotely close to repeating that sort of success at a program that is a thousand times easier to recruit than Stanford was back then. Until he is able to actually develop a quarterback he recruited, I will remain skeptical and give more of the credit to Andrew Luck’s naturals ability over Harbaugg’s Coaching ability.

He would finally have a shot at B10 COY.

I agree. I think his ceiling at best would be getting a school like NW to Iowa levels. Competing, getting to bowls, occasional B10 title

OSU hasn't had a COY in nearly 40 years despite being the best team in the conference by a landslide in that timeframe. It's quite possibly the most worthless trophy in college sports.

Seriously Tressel never won it?

It’s funny how 45% of the Wisconsin votes are Wisconsin fans.

You sure it’s only 45%? As much as Ron Dayne was slobbering over Wisconsin and Paul Chryst knob in one of the earlier pages are we sure he didn’t vote twice?

WOW, that’s crazy. I always thought Tressel was one of the best B10 coaches ever.
He went unbeaten in 2002, while shitdick Ferentz loses at home to Iowa State, and Tressel still gets screwed.

I'd go with Dantonio just because MSU wasn't supposed to be very good this year. If not him, Fitzgerald or Chryst.

Why? They have the talent.

I don’t think they were surprisingly good this year so much as they were surprisingly bad last year.

Well before the season 5 starters were kicked off the team for off the field issues, and we are starting 13 freshmen and sophmores, 3 seniors and only 6 seniors are on the two deep. Very, very young team.
