A lot depends on how seriously they took their training over the past couple of months.

Sock doesn't look particularly fit to me, but the topspin on that forehand makes it a real weapon on the AO hard courts. Must feel like trying to hit a rock for his opponents.

Isner at least keeps a level head, and usually puts in the time off the court. Querrey is unwatchable for me.

Is there a major where it's not a weapon? Wimbledon?

Yep good stuff. They all had tough match ups. That's the thing about round 1. You could be a top 5 seed and draw the 33rd ranked player in the world which seems unfair.

Stan played the 34th ranked player for example.

I actually think he used to come before but never worked for ESPN. I could be wrong but I thought I heard that he worked for the Australian TV crew before. Very nice to have him working all 3 majors for ESPN now

Hmm. Maybe he worked for Australian TV before, it's just that ESPN never showed him. But you would think since it's ESPN, they would show him. They show all of the other "Australia Channel 7" guys.

But yes, good to seem him at every major now.

All the tournaments should go with the US Open tiebreaker. I would give these guys up to 18 games. If it is tied through 18 games in the 5th (9-9) then we're going to a tiebreaker.

I would have them play them all at 4-4.

I don't want a 5th set decided by 1 point. A full game is better.
