Yet when you brush all this UM vs OSU and Harbaugh vs Urban aside, Voltaire still strikes me as a little bit on the douchy side. (I could picture him cringing at the pubic hair remark)
In his defense, that is a hobby that is not for the faint of heart. I remember as a rookie I was all about gloves and specimen bottles. Now...pick it up and put it in my pocket

Barberton huh? Good deal. Back in the day Central Hower & Barberton had some damn good basketball match ups. I'm originally from Akron.
Actually I seem to recall you mentioning that before. My dad worked for a pretty big company in Barberton and as a result got to know families of coworkers who lived around there.

You can mark me down for all of thee above. Plus, my family has a lot of connection with Barberton, Ohio which is the birthplace of Bo fucking Schembechler, not to mention a slew of other UM greats

I thought RichRod & Hoke were also UofM greats.

Greynolds was a great coach. Do you remember Bobby-somethin' somethin'-Smith from East? He was a character.

Disclaimer: somethin' somethin' was Smith's nickname for those who have no idea why I called him that.

Um, no. Although I was pretty pumped when RichRod was hired. I still think given time (which you don't get at UM) he would have been a winner...IMHO

I think many UofM fans were excited when RichRod got to ann arbor. He did a good job @ WV.

LOL I don't recall him, but he was probably before my time. I remember Barberton had a state title team that featured 3 future Big10 players

Likely he was in over his head. I don't think the way he departed WVU helped either as he brought a lot of baggage with him. Hoke, was simply a bad hire and most definitely in over his head.

Do you remember a kid named Ricky Powers from Butchel?

Hell yeah I remember Powers. He was a great HS rb. Last I heard of him he was the football coach there.

I think it was in the late 70's? Two went to UM and one went to Oh St on basketball scholarships

I grew up watching local HS hoops back home in the 80's. The 70's was a bit too early for me.
