Hopefully when Ausmus gets canned Leyland takes over. I don't need to see Lloyd.
I assume they'll have a Team USA day. All those guys still tied to the Tigers or employed by them.
I just don't want to see Lloyd.Agree...Leyland over Lloyd. But Old Smoke is 72, so his traveling days might be over. And going out with a WBC title isn't a bad way of ending a career.
Home now. Insurance must have said kick him out. Feeling better. Get stronger with meds. Virus in lungsHow are you feeling, Doug?

WC is possible, but doubtful when your number one starter is Danny Duffy and then a bunch of nothing.I see the Royals having a pretty good season, maybe even a WC. They may contend with Detroit for 2nd place. They still have Hos, Salvy, Gordon, Moose, Cain, Escobar, and now Soler and Moss. Also Merrifield may be their best 2nd baseman in a while. I was really worried about their pitching staff with the death of Ventura and departure of Volquez, but they went and got Hammel and Wood. Soria and Young in the pen may be their biggest problem. But I think the core is there. Its just a matter of staying healthy like it is for all teams.
7. Coaches now need 2 egg timers to get VMart's speed to first. The first runs out before he gets there.
It's definitely going to require mostly offense/defense for a playoff bid IMO. Might need a soft landing to get there too. I'll tell anyone that will listen that Duffy is a legit #1 but the other 4 guys as a whole are pretty blargh at best. I won't be shocked if Matt Strahm is the 2nd best starter on the team by year's end.WC is possible, but doubtful when your number one starter is Danny Duffy and then a bunch of nothing.
I am slowly warming up to this group myself. I am pretty adamant in thinking a capable Mondesi and DH gets this team back in the WC conversation if healthy. Merrifield probably is an upgrade over what we've been getting at 2nd for some time, however; and the versatility is quite nice. I just like what I see out of Mondesi if he can develop more offensively; and his ST at least raises an eyebrow if nothing else.I see the Royals having a pretty good season, maybe even a WC.
