Yes and no. Sloan was definitely "old school" and was going to need to either retire or make some changes to his coaching style. Back in the day, coaches coached and players played. There wasn't a whole lot of collaboration.

On the other hand, when things like this happen, it's almost never a one sided thing. This was likely something that had been simmering for quite some time and just happened to come to a head that night.

If we were ever to get the entire story, it's likely that both were at fault and could have handled things better.

That's why I just can't buy them as a true contender yet.

While it shouldn't necessarily be the case, the game is officiated differently in the playoffs. Teams are typically allowed to be more physical.

If the Rockets are going to continue to be frustrated so easily and worry so much about the refs, they are likely looking at the same results they've been getting in the playoffs.

He is the beneficiary of so many bullshit, phantom and self-initiated contact foul calls that he should just shut his pie hole and play thru it.
