TT out for a month.

Cavs have no Centers.

No, Frye and Zizic don't count.

Have the Cavs used their two-way spots for the D-League? If not, I'd think that'd be the the route they went in getting a center onto the roster. There are lots of guys in the D-League who could be serviceable for defensive and rebounding purposes.

Is Roy Hibbert available, maybe the Cavs could pick him up?

Now they'll see how little they miss him.
Cavs replacing shooters/Kyrie with D. Rose/Wade IMO is a much bigger problem.

As is, if IHOP doesn't return as near the same player he was, the Cavs are certainly no lock to represent the EC.

Yeah, John Holland and London Perrantes. Both guards.

Well that's kind of unfortunate. I wonder if you're able to cut the two way players to sign other ones. I assume you'd just have to pay the new and old salaries.

Can someone help me out here, I'm trying to figure out why the Sixers didn't pick up the option for Okafor if they were intent on still trying to trade him.

The option allows for another controllable year for whatever team he's playing for right? Wouldn't it be in their best interest to trade a player with an additional reasonable contract rate rather than a guy who's going to be an RFA?

That should answer your question. He would have made $6.3 million next year if they picked up the option. Aron Baynes signed a 1 year, $4.3 million deal and Dewayne Dedmon signed a 2-year, $14 million deal this offseason. Noel is playing on a 1 year, $4.1 million qualifying offer. Tarik Black - 1 year, $3.3 million. JaVale McGee - 1 year $2.1 million. Nene 3 years - $11 million. Pachulia - 1 year, $3.4 million.

How appealing is a center that can't even get minutes on one of the worst teams in the league at $6.3 million? He won't be an RFA, he'll be unrestricted. But unless he produces at all this season, he will make less than $6.3 million.

I'd be willing to take the over on annual salary above 6.3M in free agency.

Out of all of those players, Noel is the real outlier there. He's a guy betting on himself after not receiving an offer solid enough for his liking. He took the qualifying offer to release him of his restricted free agency and become unrestricted after next year. I'd be willing to be my entire life savings that the Mavs offered him more than 6.3M annually.

Okafor is still young where most of the other guys are not. It's plausible what you say in that teams view Okafor as a specialist, but not in the same category of guys like Baynes, Dedmon, McGee, Black or Pachulia. Also Nene is past prime, so he doesn't really count towards this category.

IMO.

Suns are 4-1 since Bledsoe had his wittle tantrum.

Meanwhile there’s like 3 teams that still only have one win.

I knew the Suns were not historically bad, turns out that label goes to Earl Watson.

What's wrong with being historically bad?

Nothing at all.

That is, unless you are ALWAYS historically bad.

Then you're historically great at being bad. Either way, historical.
