A link isn't needed. It is common sense. This goes for every sport. There is a reason why the championship game/series is usually the highest rates game(s) of the season for every sport. You get casual fans who doesn't usually watch the sport in the regular season watching that game.

I don't want to see Warriors/Cavs 4, but I know plenty of people will watch it even if I don't. It'd probably be the best team from the East and West against each other but it's been the finals matchup 3 straight years.

That was my point lol. As a die hard NBA fan, I would love to see new teams in the finals but to say Cavs/Warriors Part 4 would be bad for the NBA is just not true.

That was my point lol. As a die hard NBA fan, I would love to see new teams in the finals but to say Cavs/Warriors Part 4 would be bad for the NBA is just not true.

I think that a good rivalry most likely brings in more viewers than a different team when you think about - especially when you have LeBron James who is one of the best or the best player in the NBA right now. Kobe Bryant was on a losing team in his last year with the Lakers and every game was sold out just to watch him and pretty much that's the way it's been every year. I think the same thing with LeBron who will attract viewers. I don't have a link to prove my theory though and it's just an opinion
