2017-2018 NBA Regular Season Thread

Yeah, Darnold fed into the offseason hype. Plus, his team's not doing him any favors. They looked like world beaters last year. This year, I'm shocked they've only lost one game.

Darnold didn't feed into anything that I've ever seen. Last year he had a more experienced o-line and a couple of go to wide receivers.

I was concerned about our o and d lines before the season started and they were hit by a ton of injuries. O-line hasn't been able to establish the run (or pass block) and the d-line hasn't been able to stop the run.

He also hasn't been able to establish a rapport with any receivers other than Burnett.

The only reason we had only lost one game was that the early schedule was pretty pedestrian. The Domers exposed every concern that I had about our o and d lines.

Obviously not, but still starting the season 1-2 is no bueno. Down 16 now in the 3rd.

Wade looks like father time came and bit him in the ass. Still early though...

Yeah, I've always said that a lot of the time, these guys get old, literally overnight. Looks like this may be the case for D-Wade.

He'll still have some games where he reminds everyone of who he used to be, but I'll be a bit surprised if he is able to help much. Maybe he'll play better when IT returns and the Cavs don't need to depend as much on him playing well?

I'd take Wade over JR Snith at this point in their careers......and it's all about the team, not the player. There is no I in team.

Pfff...so he gets frustrated from time to time like all players do. I'd rather he be frustrated with himself than throw his teammates under the bus in his presser.

Getting frustrated and bitching at the refs is one thing, they all do that. Hell, I don't think there was ever a call that Timmy didn't bitch about. But you can't be throwing your mouthpiece around like a petulant child.

I like this Warriors team, but sometimes they make it difficult.

Shump is worse than both....

Wade and Smith are both off to slow starts shooting the ball but Wade is averaging 3.3apg and that is only going to improve. A SG that can pass is key......helps the ball movement, especially on a team like the Cavs.

It really doesn't matter what the Cavs or any other team does this year. Nobody is beating a healthy G.S. team in a 7 game series.

Got my laundry done yesterday and just did my grocery shopping......ready for another full slate of football.....before the hectic work week starts up again.

People always say this about the favorites to win it all.....It won't surprise me at all if they don't win it this year or next year......all the faves are saying they are locks to win it till they have to decide on Thompson's contract.....

1-Been as good as can be expected......1 day at a time. Had a reality check in Feb and just living the fucking dream. You never get used to them being, you just cope and live with it. Don't take the folks for granted if you still have them around. Each day is a gift meant to be enjoyed......things can always be worse than they are presently.

2-Hoping my Lakers show enough improvement to get 1 max player, maybe a 2nd. Don't really want a 2nd now because that means the kids get relegated to the bench. Tired of the Lakers being a joke, the LOL Lakers and such.......LOL. The NBA is better when the Lakers, Celtics, and Knicks are good.

3-Remember FN? Everybody was all over them, saying they need to cancel the football program and no parents would let their kids go there.....
