Werenski named one of the top three American players (along with Matthews and the US goalie Nedlejmanovic or however you spell it)

I'm a little confused, why did they give out the 3 Russian awards now when they still have one more game to play?

I have Direct TV, and NHL network is part of the package. NHL Center Ice is a separate subscription that lets me watch all the games on Direct TV.

NHL Gamecenter live is a completely different subscription, different than Center Ice, that would allow me to watch NHL network online. And all games.

I don't need that because Direct TV allows me to stream TV to any device in my house (IE On my bike on rollers in the basement with my tablet on the bars) as long as it's on the same network as my receiver. And there aren't usually games on that I want to watch while I am at work.

NBCSports, Fox, ESPN, etc ALL allow me to sign in with Direct TV password and watch live games (Watch some Footy games that way while at work). But Not NHL Network. No. Because they want me to pay 150 bucks on top of the 100 bucks I already do.

Ah, gotcha

The Russians did a marvelous job of closing off the passing lanes in most cases in that third period, and they shut down any reasonable scoring opportunities by the USA. They utilized 2 dmen and a forward in a tight triangle in front of Samsonov whenever the puck went to the middle of the ice for a shot, and that group would spread out whenever the puck went over to the boards. They repeated this process like robots regardless of which players were on the ice. Even though Boikov (#2) wasn't one of the three recognized after the game, I thought that he was very solid throughout, and was a key contributor whenever they needed to get the first pass out of their zone.

Well, rarely would I care about a Russia-USA game but Ron Wilson's presence made it a rare occasion that a Russian victory made my day.

“They were a little faster than we expected and they got the puck on the outside and they beat some guys. It’s as simple as that," said U.S. head coach Ron Wilson afterward to NHL Network.

Wilson,
who admitted before the game that he didn’t know any of the Russian players, probably knows a few of their names now.

What a maroon Wilson is. :L

Ron Wilson: "So we lost?!?!? At the end of the day I'm still going to drive home tonight. Do I know how to drive? NOOO!!! And that's probably a good thing."

I'm confused. He lost, so he's a bust. But he was named one of the three stars, so he's our saviour? WHAT DO?

That's some fine game prep there, Ronnie.

to be fair to wilson, torts probably doesnt know all his own cbj players names yet :noidea:

He knows one.

Other than Dubinsky. He knew that one already. And he feels like Tyutin looks somewhat familiar.
