The funny thing is Canada was not very good in this tournament and a meltdown late lost the game to the eventual gold medal winner. Russia had to go to OT to beat Denmark and they got the silver medal. I think the unpredictability is the greatest thing about the WJHC.

Didn't see the game but nice to see a team like Finland (that's not usually considered a powerhouse) win it at home. Was the final game well attended? It would be nice to see this tournament become more popular in more countries.

I guess the best way to wrap up the tourney is to say that the Finns had it their way...

I bet the other teams flame them for that.

It's good that other countries are finally buying into this excellent tournament.

Yeah, maybe someday we'll be able to see ads in 10 different languages putting undue and insane pressure on 10 year old kids

Sucky failures, all of them.

If you don't wake up at 5 am and shovel the snow and then go on to be one of only a tiny handful of kids talented enough to play in the World Junior hockey championships you've wasted your childhood.

But where is the toughness coming from?? Shovelling snow? My granddaddy can do that and only have a heart attack half the time!

Fighting your brother for the shovel! He doesn't want to waste his life any more than you do!
