Someone hide the sharp objects in Comeds' house.
Depending on the return Edmonton's asking, I'd gladly take Yak.

There are always two sides to trading for Oilers - are they infected by the stench of the team, or are they the ones responsible for doing the stinking? Yakupov sure has looked bad at times, but the Oilers sure did handle him terribly.

Garth's a bitch. Latest is he's asking teams what they'll give him for Okposo. Because the obvious move to make when you're essentially guaranteed a playoff spot is to trade your own rental.

I feel for good fans like you, because it truly seems like this team never wants to win a playoff round ever again.

Beat writer just said they aren't shopping Okposo.

Yeah I was just coming back to correct myself, read John Shannon's tweet wrong. Thought it was one of those "aren't shopping but seeing what offers they could generate" moves that is shopping by any other definition.

I wonder if the Isles would take a shot at Drouin or Hartnell though. Hearing the asking price for PA is too high. Maybe that price comes down as the day goes on.

I'm holding out a slim hope that the Leafs and TB work out a big deal involving Drouin and Parenteau and whoever else from the Leafs. I think there could be a fit there now. We'll see.

I'm still finding it funny that Ladd's return people seemed cool with but the Leafs asking for a fraction of that is apparently crazy despite PAP and Ladd having very similar stats this year.

I just think that TO is still mad about the Grabner trade, so they are trying to play hardball with the Isles!!

Rychel sent down, Bobby Mac says could still be traded, Lou Lamoriello engaged in talks to send Lupul to Columbus...

Of all their recent trades...this is the one they'd want to try again?

he call him 4-20?

lol - It wasn't all bad, Ray expected more this season from him, that's all, although the PP has been much better since Hamilton took over for Wideman. I guess Ray has doubts that he will be a 50-60 pt dman, I think we need to remember that he is still only 22 and dmen usually take longer to develop than forwards.

I mean, sure, but did the Flames give him $5.75m/yr to help him develop? Or did they give it to him to produce now?

Probably a little of both, but changing conferences and defensive systems is going to take any player some time to adjust. It sure doesn't help that the goaltending has been terrible for much of the season.
