Buckle up!!
The Kings confuse the crap out of me.
Apparently Scuderi going the other way. HAHAHA
I think maybe the Kings have confused themselves.

Insane, but Ladd being a "big, playoff-type guy" is kinda unfounded. First off, what are we basing that on, a 4-game sweep last year? Or ancient history? Secondly, his playoff scoring record is awful. While Parenteau's is similarly bad (and very brief), it's still better per-game than Ladd's.That's insane.
Yup. Still insane. The Hawks gave up way too much considering Ladd's play so far this year.
I doubt anyone gives up a 1st for PAP. Rightly or not, Ladd is big and considered a playoff-type player and Parenteau is kind of perceived as only a scorer. Probably bullshit but GMs seem to follow this mindset still.
That being said, the madnessof NHL GMs never ceases to amaze at this time of year so we'll probably see a PAP for a 1st and a B prospect deal. Both will bomb with the Leafs but it will still be an over-payment.

It's insane, but it's market price.
Well, I hope you're wrongI'd be willing to wager that any return for PAP is not in the ballpark as the one that Ladd got. As I said, right or wrong, players like Ladd always get more than players like Parenteau at the deadline, stats be damned.

I'm starting to believe the Kings bomb out of the playoffs in the first round.
Anything can happen, but who of the lower seeds knocks them out?
If Rinne can consistently play like he did last night, that's one.
