Neither. Some QB from North Dakota.

You mean Carson Wentz from North Dakota State. If he has a good pro day, he might be a top 20 pick. Lots of teams need QB. (Browns, Cowboys, Niners, Eagles, Texans) just to name a few.

Yeah Carson Wentz I was hoping the 9ers would draft him but not in the first round I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Dominant pass rushers are hard to find

no doubt, and IMO, most important position after QB. For offense it is clearly the QB; for defense it is the pass rusher. granted, not to say the pressure has to come from one player, but boy, one good rusher is huge.

then we won't slide to us at #7.

IF Baalke/Kelly thinks Goff fits our scheme to a 'T', i would draft him despite Kaep and Gabbert. But ok, if he is this good, he won't reach us.

I have a feeling the top picking teams are blowing serious smoke at the moment...I'm not entirely sure that anyone is super confident in this QB draft class including Goff. I love the kid, but he's not leaps and bounds over the other prospects. Let the posturing begin.

The Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49ers are the two teams picking in the top 10 most connected to quarterbacks in this draft class.
But which system would Goff fit best, according to Cosell?
"I think Goff fits any system. I don't think Goff is system specific. I think his skill set, his throwing skill set, his looseness as an athlete, his light feet, I think he fits, theoretically, any system. He would be my choice right now (for the Browns). He could run (head coach) Hue Jackson's system no problem."

Too bad for us, if not Cleveland, then Dallas.

LOL, going back to the day the 49ers let Charles Haley go, you should see the list of pass rushers they drafted and how those panned out. Other than Aldon Smith, a few of them became decent pass rushers at best. I think Aaron Lynch can become pretty good.

It looks like Cleveland wants to draft at QB at 2. And Dallas might also. He may not make it that far

Side note: The Shrine game Oregon QB won MVP. 3 TD 191 yeards. Don't be surprise if we draft in the 3-4th rd. He is very accurate but very small.

49ers 2016 NFL Draft picks

1. First round: Own pick
2. Second round: Own pick
3. Third round: Own pick
4. Fourth round: Own pick
5. Fourth round: Comp pick (Mike Iupati)
6. Fifth round: Own pick
7. Fifth round: San Diego Chargers (2015 draft-day trade)
8. Fifth round: Comp pick (Perrish Cox)

10. Sixth round: Denver Broncos (Vernon Davis trade)
11. Sixth round: Comp pick (Dan Skuta)

wouldn't have a problem with QB in round 3 (not necessarily Adams either), but i'd guess we'd look at Round 4? No solid reasons, just my guess.

I hope this year we trade up a little. We don't need 12 picks. maybe trade 2 4th for a 3rd or 2 5th for a 4th. 2 6th for a 5th . Something like that. We have 10 picks for next year also.
