this is a joke ya know?

Pippen is not even close to top 20 of all time. Its insulting to LeBron to even mention the 2 in the same sentence. Pippen never led his team to anything- and then BENCHED HIMSELF in the biggest moment of his non-Michael career.

But, he was not Prime Pippen then.

I with you that he is not comparable to Lebron.

But, I also agree with DJ.

Pippen's stats were compromised by playing with Jordan.

How could they not be?

The question is:

Did it help or hurt? Jordan required 3/4 of the attention on defense.

So, it presented a ton of scoring opportunities for others.

Yes, because Kyrie was on a shit Cleveland team and Love was on a shit Minnesota team.
You could argue that if Love went to Cleveland without lebron, the Cavs would make the playoffs too.

You could, but their record without LeBron this year was way below .500. So you don't have any evidence to back that up.

Pippen had some great stats playing without Jordan, I definitely feel like his individual career accomplishments suffered.

Looks like the Lakers won't be meeting with Durant at all. Now they can move on!

While only an idiot wouldn't want him on their team, I feel that if they had him around, it would severely affect the development and growth of Ingram as a player.

Hope they go all out for a Center and supporting cast.

Especially since he's not done.

Also, although the stats look similar, LeBron is definitely the better defender of the two AND the pace of play in the 80s was much faster. The average team scored 110 points per game in 1985, that number is around 102 today and was even lower when LeBron's career began. Pace affects stats.

Definitely. But the flip side of that argument is would he have developed the same way if he did not ever play with Jordan?

I am sure he would have posted better numbers, but I am equally sure he would not have been the league's best (or second best) player for nearly a decade.

You have a point, while Lebron gets most of the attention even when he played with Wade or even Kyrie.

Well we do know without MJ,Pippen in his prime he went for:

22 8.7 and 5.6...a solid season

Then in the playoffs they took the Knicks to 7 and lost in the 2nd round. His playoff stats were:

22.8 8.3 and 4.6

While Lebron averages in the regular season for his career 27 7 and 6.

His playoff averages in his career 28 9 and 7.

We have one season sample size of Pippen in his prime or around it.

If the Celtics get DH.....it could negate all the good their young coach has done.

DH is a cancer.
