I never thought it was very likely, but I am disappointed that the Wizards aren't even in his top 6. Terrible year for the Wizards.

Yeah, it's a blow to the Wizards organization that they can't even get a meeting. When the Warriors were starting to rise about 5 years ago, they did their best to be in the mix for any big free agent. They wanted to show that they were one of the big boys.

I thought we had a decent chance. I guess all his damn 2nd cousins keep asking for money every time he comes home and he just doesn't wanna deal with it.

Assuming it is another Negotiating ploy by him and his agent. Did the same thing last year to put pressure on Miami to the media
:agree: But, Phil Jackson should have him on speed dial just in case.

Sources told ESPN.com that Wade’s representatives have made it known to multiple teams over the last several days that he will be on the market. Some teams have been skeptical, wondering if Wade would seriously consider leaving the franchise where he has played 13 seasons and won three titles. The Heat and Wade had several contentious weeks last year before they agreed on a one-year, $20 million deal for this past season.

Williams doesn't really strike me as the type of leader in the locker room who can mentor kids.

I don't know about kids. But, he's a good locker room guy, a veteran player than can still contribute on the floor.

hen Chris Broussard confirmed that the Hornets want to re-sign Nic Batum (which everyone has know for a while, nice work again Chris).

But Broussard is reporting, behind Batum, Marvin Williams is someone the Hornets are trying to get back because of how good of a locker-room presence he was. So that’s new information.
I really like Marvin and he had a good season and I guess he was a good guy in the locker-room, but he was AWFUL in the Heat series, also I still think he will be too expensive for us to keep.

it makes sense to me- because if Whiteside leaves and Bosh has to retire- i think it would be very hard for Wade to stay there---- maybe he would and be loyal to the very end---- but i even have admitted- he played well and stayed healthier this year than he has in a while. Im sure he wants to win if he can.

I'm new to this forum but I'm hoping Wade is bluffing...he is a good veteran to have especially with the new players the heat added and are going to add. It helps to have a good championship proven guy who is still capable of putting up good numbers on your team. Giving him less but securing him with a longevity contract would be beneficial to the heat considering how much the cap is going to keep going up. Pay him now and he will a bargain later. Even in his late 30's he's better than some of these young guys.

Still, he's smart enough to know that he would make us an instant finals contender coming out of the East.

But he's also smart enough to know that he would be on a more serious title contender if he joined the Spurs, Warriors, Clippers, Celtics, Thunder or Heat.

DO not trade Kevin Love unless its a cant miss deal. Kevin Love really seemed to play good ball once Lue took over. He obviously played a really good Game 7- and had some really good moments in the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Kevin Love 2015/'16 Season and Playoffs:

Regular season: 16 pts, 9.9 boards, 2.4 assists, 41.9% from the field, 36% from 3 (took a LOT of three's)
Postseason: 14.7 pts, 8.8 boards, 2.1 assists, .385% from the field, 41.4% from 3 (lol- shot WAY higher from 3 than from the field).

Chris Bosh's last year with LeBron James 2013/'14 Season and Playoffs:

Regular season: 16 pts, 6.6 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 51.6% from the field, 33.9% from 3....
Playoffs: 14.9 pts, 5.6 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 50.7% from the field, 40.5% from 3.

So- in Kevin Love's first real post season run- he puts up numbers that are pretty much identical to Bosh's after going to the Finals 4 times.....this is with Kevin Love throwing some REAL stinkers in their once in a while.

DO NOT TRADE KEVIN LOVE. First- if someone in the EAst does indeed ever want to emerge and challenge LeBron- he will be instrumental in beating them. 2nd- the oldest adage in the NBA- never trade a dollar for 4 quarters. Third- he is on a great contract. Fourth- we won- and he made some damn great plays in Game 7 to do it he can stay as long as he freaking wants to in my book. Fifth- he is still one of the best rebounders in the league, he is still one of the- if not the best big man shooter in the league and has to be respected at all times and that spacing does wonders for LeBron and KI, he is still one of the best passing big men in the league - especially those crazy outlet passes.

Do not trade Kevin Love. Before all is said and done LeBron/KI/Love/Thompson could do some REALLY REALLY great things- on top of what they have already done.
