a glowing endorsement from Dion Waiters - yes dion waiters- who has not played 1 minute for the team yet....

yes....this is proof the Miami Heat are the best organization ever...lol.

in all actuality hes probably just pumped hes gonna be able to jack up 15 shots a game again.

Highly doubt he's getting 15 shots on this team. You have no idea what you're talking about

hmmm...Jr has kinda changed that in Cleveland to a certain extent.....

you shoot 7 three's a game and hit 40% - thats pretty efficient....

Yeah, this year...last Season too.

But, for his career?

He and Crawford are agony and ecstasy players.

They will shoot you in and out of games.

Miami has been a good spot for rehabilitating certain players as it pertains to helping get their career on the right track. Sometimes it doesn't workout, but other times it does.

He's not a bad reclamation project considering he's playing for the equivalent of NBA welfare.

I don't want to be too cynical here... but that's easy to say after the fact.

Its hard not to at least wonder if he really had it to do all over again if he wouldn't go back a few weeks and accept that $8m/yr qualifying offer from OKC.

I'm sure he would.

This is worst than Brandon Bass this year and Jr. Smith leaving money on the table to opt out last Season.

But, not as bad as Sullinger thinking he was getting a max, Ezeli getting minimum wage when every other Center got paid * sans Sullinger * .

But, Myers Leonard is by far the biggest loser for turning down 4/60 last Season to get 4/41 this year...lol

Jason Quick: “I’m betting on myself,” Meyers Leonard said after passing on extension

Location, location, location.

That will be key next summer when the Heat can get a max player and won't have to worry about a contract situation on the team to play out

Dumping Waiters contract gives OKC a chance to offer Russell Westbrook a max deal this year.

Kobe made 2 million more than the 2nd highest paid player in the league (LeBron) last year. It may have been less than what he made on the contract before, where he was making 8-10 million more than anybody else, but is was absolutely an albatross contract given what he had left in the tank.

I completely understand why the Lakers offered it, but don't tell me I am missing anything. I am not. While management may have told Kobe that they had room to sign another max player, they failed to consider the scenerio.

Realistically, what high end player would sign on to a max deal that would pay him less than a 36/37 year old Kobe coming off a major injury? Especially when Kobe has always had a reputation for being difficult to play with.

Lakers fans are cool with it, which is fine, but don't tell me that Kobe's contract did not lead to the Lakers tanking the last two seasons. Whether intentional or not, it was a highly predictable outcome as soon as the ink was dry.

Had he signed a Dirk type deal, those big free agents would have been much more likely to sign because it would have indicated that Kobe was willing to take a back seat. Remaining the highest paid player in the league indicates the exact opposite. It did not work in Dallas because Dallas is not as attractive a market as LA. It might not have worked in LA either, but don't say that Dirk was foolish to try. He was helping his organization.
Doubt it. No FA was signing in LA while Kobe was still the franchise guy- so instead they chose to pay Kobe.

My thoughts exactly. When my friend message me to tell me Amare retired as a Knick, this was my response:

"Weird. Retiring with Phoenix would make more sense"

are you saying with or without Bosh?

Either way he's not getting 15 shots per game. I would put money on that. 15 shots is basically saying he is going to be the #1 option without Bosh which is just stupid logic.

Have no idea. Even if Bosh (which I highly doubt) is there they would still have enough money to sign a superstar

cap is estimated at 105 about next year right?

IF Bosh is on the cap....

Bosh 25
Whiteside 24
Dragic 17
McBob 6 (unless you think he declines that...)
Winslow 3
Richardson 1
Johnson 6

that totals up to...82M........pretty much a conservative estimate due to McBob and Bosh

without McBob and Bosh it only adds up to 51M.

keep in mind that has Johnson at the 6M number for the next 2 years than he pops up to 19 for the last 2....

23M if Bosh and McBob are there---- if they could get someone to take McBob that gets it up to 29 which is enough room.
