Yeah Westbrook is an option but lets be honest is that much of an upgrade if they trade Avery and Thomas. Is almost a wash. The only difference Westbrook can carry your team and make more of an impact in the Playoffs.

Again Im not saying Westbrook isnt a star. Im just pointing out the 2 players that they would give up produces the same as Westbrook. Then throw in the 1st rd picks OKC would want. It would be alot for westbrook and not even sure it upgrades Boston that much. Again this is the What IF game and who I think they would have to give up.

Today's edition of tweets that we have no reason to believe but are nonetheless intriguing...

Right.

We just gave Doc Jr. 11 million in allowance money just to trade for another midget.

But, I do like Avery.

I'd give this deal the side eye if it Crowder was coming too.

I don't know.

I'd trade both for Westbrook.

He can give you Isiah's offense and Bradley's defense.

Yeah, he has been for years.

But, it bears no fruit...lol

I think he will eventually grab a Center from Philly or in a deal that things the 76ers frontcourt.

Saric signed today.

So, that's Embiid, Okafor, Noel, Simmons, Saric.....

Everyone of them think they should start...lol

It's a nice problem to have.
Ahh the mad genius strikes again. Maybe they're doing this right.

Boston has waaaay too many players and picks....it would be a disaster ifthey didnt make a trade...they dont even have barely enough roster spots right now...

they are gonna get trade raped but its just something they have to do.

i doubt they get blake unless they pay in a huuuuuge way.....Crowder, Smart, Brooklyn pick, hunter or rozier...etc.

Celtics have absolutely no leverage right now which is their problem...tons of assets...no leverage...

Agree.

I'm not naive enough to say Blake won't get dealt.

Shit happens and it's being rumored all over the place.

But, not for pennies on the dollar.

I think he's keeping Crowder in his back pocket, he's definitely one of his best chips.

i dont see presti wanting isiah- not his type of guy....esp where he is at in his career ....

he will want picks and young guys or guys...

crowder is so valuble since he is a legit SF that is signed up forever for really cheap....

Maybe.

I don't get why Philly hasn't done a deal with the Suns or Celtics.

Both those Teams have too many guards.

Maybe Minny too.

Ulis looks good.

Add him to Bledsoe, Knight, Goodwin and Booker and that's a bit of an issue.

Same with Dunn, Rubio, Jones, Lavine....of those 4, Zach is the only one who can play off ball.

We are gonna see a bunch of trades with these unbalanced rosters.

Yeah, I love that guy.

Underpaid and undervalued.

We are desperate at sf.

But, giving away your starting Pf to address that need seems counterproductive, especially if the replacement is Rudy Gay :dhd:.

I wouldn't mind Trevor Ariza or Gay in addition to Blake, Jordan, Cp3.

But, not in a deal for either.

I don't see that either.

It has been rumored that Danny overvalues his guys and tries to strong arm other Executives.

Maybe that's why he can't make any deals?

He doesn't even want to give up the Brooklyn pick.

How do you expect to land a legit star using Rosier, Bradley and RJ Hunter?

SN sources: Celtics targeting Blake Griffin, will make major deal soon

exactly....

this isnt begger Flip Saunders being forced to move KG.....

griffin and rw dont HAVE to go anywhere and there are PLENTY of teams that would be willing to pay plenty for them...Boston isnt gonna get him dealing all their mid tier present, former and future first rounders...

im sure presti could call up phoenix or minne or la or orlando or any number of teams and get a deal done.

what deal would u think the Clips would realistically ask for from the Celtics if they were to deal Blake?

Nothing on their roster alone makes sense.

Trading Blake leaves a big ole gapping hole in the roster.

I love Brice Johnson.

But, he's nowhere near ready to start in BG32's place.

Amir Johnson is garbage. Dude is 29 and averaging 7 and 6.

Pass.

We don't need any guards.

Because it was never a proposal.

That was some guy making up trade machine scenarios.

I tried to tell Ham that yesterday.

The writer was saying that Boston was a logical destination, not that the deal has been discussed.

Would you do griffin for avery, amir, and 2018 nets pick

Doubt it.

With all the free agents and money available next year, it's better to let him walk than clog up your cap with Rudy Gay.

Unless the Clippers have a disastrous start, Blake and Paul say " I'm leaving next Summer", neither gets traded before the deadline.

The Gay trade is a horrible idea, agreed. That said, the Clippers didn't necessarily struggle without Blake last year, so I could see them moving on from him.

They are trying to add Stars, not subtract.

They will actually have cap to add a guy next year.

So, unless they know he's walking, they won't move him unless they get a deal that blows the doors off.

I've never really been a fan of Blake's game personally. Seems more about flash than substance that contributes to winning games IMO. I think the Clippers could use him to get a younger promising PF AND upgrade at other positions (namely SF).
