I looked up his stats, and I was amazed to find out that he's only 25. Heck, if he's willing to play for the minimum, he's worth the risk.

Yeah, a team like the Warriors doesn't have much to lose with a guy like Lance Stephenson. Tons of upside and if it doesn't work out... don't play him.

Only thing that would give me pause is that their roster spots are filling up, right?

Yep, another guy that can defend. His shot can be good or can be bad, inconsistent but they have shooters they would get toughness from him off the bench.

Felder and McRae are looking pretty good. Both can score the ball and Felder is a very good passer, the kid is an athlete.

He'll be using a roster spot, and they're in need of backups. I don't know that they can waste a spot on him. Will he even consider the league min?

I wouldn't want that head case messing up my team's mindset.

I dont think people really see how good the jazz will be. That team will be great on defense
I've been saying this same thing a for a few years now. Let's see it on the court.

The Warriors at this point will be looking not for talent, but for fit. Lance may be more talented than some out there, but he's not a fit from both a culture and an on-court play style. Same with Javale McGee.

I agree. Signing either implies a bit of desperation (or lack of concern about culture).

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Lance is a guy who needs the ball in his hands to be productive. He's not a good shooter, streaky at best. The Warriors will have 5 guys who thrive with the ball in their hands already: Curry, Livingston, KD, Iguodala and Green.

Adding a player like Lance doesn't do a whole lot, imo. Defensively I think he's ok, but offensively I think he's more detrimental than helpful.

You have heard Cavs rumblings on Stephensen too for months.....

id stay away....

it cracks me up all these warriors fans- Stephen Jackson maybe coming!!! Larry SAnders is maybe coming!!! Lance Stephensen is maybe coming!!!

all these short cuts to talented guys that are not on teams or have gone through tough times for a reason. Golden State didnt lose to the Cavs because there was a talent disparity--- they lose because no one could touch LeBron and they didnt have the right mental and physical toughness to punch back....

larry sanders, lance stephensen, whatever other talented asshole might be out there- JaVale Mcgee----- sure...sign em all.....just not winning players.

How is Javale McGee even still in the league?

You say that now until JR signs with the Warriors....

JR is a lot different than Larry Sanders and Lance Stephensen and JaVale Mcgee
I'm just busting your chops.

Of all the recent names that were mentioned, the only one that has been slightly intriguing to me is Larry Sanders. But he also comes with the biggest risk. He walked away from the game on his own because he didn't love the game. That's a huge red flag for me.

Lance is not a good fit. Javale and S. Jackson are washed up. Don't want any of those guys.

I'd much rather look for a defensive specialist at this point. Or someone who can provide a particular skill set to compliment the guys already on the roster. I'm not looking to just round out the team with the best 1-10 players from a talent perspective.
