Nope. Rumors were started when people started re-tweeting Steve Kyler without reading the context of the tweets. He explained he was part of some seminar where they were supposed to make trades on behalf of teams as an exercise. He tweeted what the proposed offer they made, and people took it as truth.

It may be the first time in history that a player was offered an extension prior to the season, played significantly worse and completely disappeared in the finals and was offered MORE money.

I just dont get it. He was never good to begin with

Guess he should have followed in James' footsteps and went a year at a time?
I guess anyone who signed long term the last 2 summers can say the same thing.

Not sure how, but in general, the league should have found a way to blend this new TV cash in over a few years.

Yeah, the owners wanted to do some cap smoothing measures, but the players wanted their money now, which is understandable.

It is, but my guess is that it might even cause another unneeded issue next summer.

There will be an up to 4 year gap where some much better players will be making less then some very average players.

I think raptors got a lot better with sully
they needed a PF that could score in a humongous way. That does help quite a bit. I agree...very underated move.

A PF that can rebound, and can shoot a little bit....the defense will be the question- but with JV you have a solid rim protection.
