Definitely, even if they didn't end up going the Kings way for one reason or another. It'd be great if the two teams could have meaningful games like that in the not so distant future, for both teams not just one trying to spoil it for the other.

In all likelyhood, cavs are going for a 3 peat and gs pulled a rabbit out of the hat getting durant. Without Durant GS was done and never winning again imo....they had plateaued and only had one to go

It may be the first time in history that a player was offered an extension prior to the season, played significantly worse and completely disappeared in the finals and was offered MORE money.

Yep, but I think by extending him they were trying to keep him on as an asset in case KD didn't decide to come to the Bay. I honestly think Barnes was going to be moved by the deadline as a last resort.

Yeah even with his poor play, he still would have been a very tradeable asset this off-season. If the team could move Bogut, they would have had no problems moving Barnes at a reasonable 16M per year on an extension.
