Yeah, D-Wade went home, but let's be real, he left to get paid more money(I mean not that I begrudge him for it or anything). As for Miami, I don't know if the culture is title or bust as it is with the Lakers, but when Dwight and Nash stalled out with the Lakers, I immediately wanted them to tank for Andrew Wiggins. This years draft class is supposed to be LOADED, so if Bosh retires, it'll be a long year, but it'll be worth it to get a high pick

Should be mentioned that one of the cuts he took was his own responsibility. He assumed Lebron would re-sign so he opted out like an ass in 2014 and ended up getting less money. Who fault is that? Miami didn't tell him to opt out.

It's his agents fault.

I think the right scenario would have to present itself for the Whiteside trade, which is around what you're suggesting. Adding Whiteside gives Miami a trade asset that I made mention of, that's the main reason I'm happy with the Whiteside signing.

He continues to progress as he is, and he's one of the best centers in the league, if not the best. If he stays as is and doesn't want to improve anymore, then trade him.
its very true....Dallas or Portland would prob take whiteside off your hands no problem unless he starts acting a fool too quickly....in addition if you trade him- you will also lose more which sets you up to get a higher lotto pick.

it all started with Wade- a great young player.....its what you need to attract players in todays environment- even to Miami or the Lakers.....get a great young player guys want to play with and you will be back in contention in no time....the problem is getting that guy. Winslow is good- and he can be a 2 or 3 i think down the line- but hes not that guy. Maybe Ingram is that guy for the Lakers...maybe he isnt, we shall see.....but once oyu get THAT guy- just like Kyrie in Cleveland, attracting free agents and building all of a sudden not only gets easier- but is actually attainable.

Does their pick go to the Suns?

you cant trade picks in consecutive years. Miami has their pick this year and the draft is supposed to be very good. Going in the tank would not be a bad idea. Im seriously bummed we never got the Heat Cavs playoff matchup i so badly wanted.

Yes, because for the long term health of the franchise, the best possible move would be to let their promising young center, who had multiple teams offering him the max, walk for nothing and not try to land the top FA available. That way they could use all of their cap space to sign a 35 year old shooting guard.

I was seriously starting to wonder if it was just me...lol

Leaving for 7 million leaves a bad taste in my mouth especially knowing Miami couldn't offer him more than what they did. If Miami could have gave him 47-50 mill and only offer him 40 then I would understand

Ehh, I think our pick is going somewhere(sixers I believe), if we don't finish in the bottom 3

Hard not to feel some poetic justice hitting the Heat these last couple off-seasons.

I hope he doesn't hurt his neck too much from looking up in the standings
Shouldn't they should up in the top 4 in the east. Bulls roster is loaded(young untested) so u never know.
