He played PF all of the 2nd half for Miami and did just fine. With most of the league not having any true centers anymore, there is no reason why Deng can't start at the 4

No, but Duncan might move to a reserve role. Given his minutes load toward the end of the year and in the playoffs, I don't think that would be crazy.

Duncan could very well be willing to come off the bench his year. I don't think his return prohibits the Spurs from adding an elite bin man FA.

Exactly. I would be worry about the contract starting in year 3. He will do fine in the first 2 years imo.

He'll be ok, but I'm reading the Lakers already don't have cap space to sign a max player next summer.

No way we stick our young core on the bench......you start them and let them learn on the job.

Deng was a much better 4 then 3 last year.
It wasn't even close.

Agree on Bosh.
I personally think he's done, but that's strictly opinion.
We shall soon see.

It just seems like an uneccecary risk. And the fact that he can't play on blood thinners and could require them at any time really sucks for both parties involved. Have they actually determined that he has this Kersey condition yet?
