Not necessarily. He's got a good point re: TT vs Whiteside and team fit.
If you had a choice of Whiteside or TT on the Lakers, who would you go for?

oh i am sure there will be PLENTY OF TALK....mostly from bitter Heat fans and other LeBron type haters....
i just dont see where he goes to to get a better chance to win than here. He has the biggest wallet in the league backing him in Gilbert- the best running mate he has ever had in Irving- and some other very nice pieces.
best teammate ever? check
owner with the deepest pockets? check
dont see how/why you would leave that.
I think he's a complete twat but he's a fantastic player. The Decision parts 1 and 2 will hurt him though.
I agree with this.
Only question really is how badly does he want to play with his "brotherhood"?
Next summer is the only realistic time it could happen.

Do you really think his return to the Cavs hurts his legacy? And keep in mind before he returned Love wasn't there & the organization had hired a HC w/ zero NBA experience of any kind. Like I have said before I think he's a jackass...but Kobe is still 100x worse!
That's a damn great point. Sometimes I forget about his hopes of teaming up w/ his homies. I'd be shocked if they all ended up in the same place though. If they do I got the perfect HC for them...

I need to see what their style of play is under Walton. I'm sure he'd be flexible to either. Whiteside appears to be the more talented player, but is twice as expensive and 10X more unpredictable.
Him returning to Cleveland goes hand-in-hand with him leaving Miami.
6 teams wanted Whiteside at max money.
0 teams offered Tristan anything.
Twice as expensive?
Appears?
TT wasn't a free agent this summer and was an RFA (Cavs could match any offer) the year prior.

You got your issues w/ him. And no matter what anyone says nothing is gonna change your mind. It's all good though. We just look @ things differently.
Thompson isn't anything special though. I posted his stats amongst bigs a couple of months ago and could have named more than 30 players who were statistically better.
Heck, you could replace Rob Sacre with Thompson on a team with Kyrie, Love and lebron and his stats wouldn't be much different.
So how he left cleveland, and then Miami was ok with you?
