No news, just musings

While waiting to go to a Work party, I looked at ESPN and the recruits considering Nebraska.

One Five Star and 37 Four stars.

Now, how many took an Official Visit to Nebraska?

Five Star? Nope.

Four Stars? These four, names we all know and love.

A four star with ZERO OVs(most of these guys are OL or DL)

From the original list, Oklahoma, Texas, Alabama, Michigan the players took an Official Visits, probably about five per school. I will assume an OV basically means the player has zero interest in Nebraska. That is 24 out of the 38 players.

By my math, that is four out of 38, which is a little more than 10% are considering Nebraska. Also, 10 of the 38 have not taken one official visit anywhere and five of them are from Florida.

Since I know less than squat about the art of recruiting, no clue what it all means. Other than the big boys wait until the last second to choose a school, probably because they are not prima donnas.

Other than maybe a few of the guys you listed first I'd guess the rest of the class will be filled with names that arent even on our offer list much like the end of the last cycle, thats not a knock on anyone but just reality when you lose that many games. I don't expect much different until the win column improves dramatically

Tony Butler cancelled his visit to ASU... he will announce next Wednesday at a ceremony at his school between Nebraska, ASU and WVU... Nebraska is the only team he's visited.
