The Calabasas Ca. clan is visiting June 5th (2016 Dismuke and Hayes.... 2017 Keyshawn Jr., Gebbia and Brown)

Not sure if they are all coming together.... But if we can pull one the odds of pulling a 2nd is greater...

This staff does know we pull 4 star RB's with ease every year right? Enough with the diamonds in the rough please. I'm getting concerned.

It's not the 2 stars. It's the offer list... Like if you're in Texas and you're ANY good at all, you aint flying under the fucking radar going into your senior year.

His offer list is a joke.

Strange shit. Not happy.

I guess we just have to trust the master evaluator that is Mike Riley and believe he's the next Quizz.

Brasky this kid might not see the field for 3-4 years. He may move to line backer. I do agree no more diamonds in the rough. No more projects. I want home run recruiting.

The State of Texas knows how to evaluate running backs. High School football in Texas ain't no joke. Van is located between Dallas and Tyler Texas, Division 4A, which is not the big high school football division 6A. Adam Taylor came from football powerhouse Katy, Texas and was the State of Texas 5A Offensive player of the year.

The previous staff brought in the likes of Rex Burkhead and Adam Taylor from Texas, both were four stars and very highly regarded running backs in the State of Texas, this staff brings in Aphonso Thomas. For me, there is a huge difference. Aphonso has only been a running back for two years, his freshman year he was a starter as a defensive back.

I will agree that the coaching staff can recognize QB talent, but on running back talent you are going to have to do some serious convincing on me.

Our RB coach cane from the 49ers. Idk who recruited Alphonso specifically but like I said a lot could happen between now and when he sees the field.

I know HS fooseball is no joke in Texass but maybe part of the reason why he is a two star is he's only been playing Rob for two seasons. Also I have seen that his forty time(not that it matters much) is closer to 4.5 then 4.7

I don't know what to think about this one, I understand how the ranking system works fully but also that its pretty hard to not get noticed for a player in texas. On one hand we've got a big class to fill for 2016 however RB is the only position we can afford to be very selective with, so much that if we didn't sign one for this class it would have zero effect to the position depth going forward, may even help it a bit

Yeah it's just a little bit mind blowing. Especially with how early we took his commitment. This kid seems like someone we'd take if we exhausted all other options, our depth was awful, it's late December and we still don't have a RB.

I will, however laugh my ass off if this kids recruiting blows up this year. That'd be pretty damn impressive.

If he ends up a 5.7 3* on Rivals, will yall care?

Hard for me to take the star approach until Fall re-evaluations

We'll see.. dont think the staff is dumb enough to reach in May, but have nothing to base it off of yet

Would Oregon St have taken a 2* running back out of Texas/California in May? Damn skippy stool.

It's an Oregon St staff with the same mindset.
