I just shook my head so hard listening to that interview.

Riley needs to do a 180 with Omaha coaches, because this is not acceptable at all.

It's a culture problem. It's systemic. Omaha kids should be growing up dreaming of one school and one school only.

This has nothing to do with the Nebraska staff. He flat out wasn't interested in Nebraska. They tried hard and he didn't reciprocate.

He's got a couple of die hard Iowa fans in his camp.

Noah Fant chooses Iowa, good for him. Drew Ott went to Iowa. Larry Station went to Iowa.

But isn't he still not sure?

Somewhere I posted all five of his school choices had good medical schools. Iowa is close by for his family to be able to watch live or on the BTN since it is the B1G.

Best of luck to Noah Fant.

I read where he claimed the Iowa coaches showed more interest in him than the NU coaches did.

Here is another slant on the announcement

What Noah Fant’s Commitment to Iowa means right now

From what I read, Noah Fant wanted to be a tight end, and Iowa was willing to let him be a tight end more than the others.

Not to mention, Iowa has sent tight ends on to the NFL.

I think Mike Riley has an opinion on what type of tight end he wants. Matt Snyder type. Maybe having Matt Snyder, who is red-shirting, meant Noah did not want competition.

According to this article, here's what he said...
"Right now, they are the school that showed me the most interest," said Fant. "I'm comfortable at heart with where I am going with them."

Here's the article...
Omaha's top football recruit, wanted by Huskers, commits to Iowa

I don't know, maybe he's not being totally truthful to keep Nebraska fans off of his ass.

The consensus among people in the know is that Nebraska tried hard and he didn't reciprocate.

Then let's just forget about him and give all of the attention to the players who want to come to Nebraska.

How about Patrick O'Brien?

Husker QB commit has big game

30-37, 319 yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT(it was returned for a TD), and 40 yards rushing.

No idea how good or bad San Clemente is.

San Clemente
2013 they were not good.
2014 was supposed to be a redemption year because of 2013, they did finish 12-2.
Lost their star QB now a freshman at USC.

So they must have had a pretty good defense, but their offense was in shambles.

Notice how (as he rolls left) he squares his shoulders up with the line of scrimmage just prior to making the throw. You can tell he does it with intent. That is the only way to make an accurate throw when rolling out.

He's had good training.

Something Tito never learned and the reason why yourn butt-hole puckered up every time he rolled out.

Says San Juan Hills was up 27-0 at half.

Must have gone into a prevent defense and taken their foot off the gas offensively.

speaking of commits who had great nights...

Aphonso Thomas + Van Run Away from Palestine, 45-14
VAN — Aphonso Thomas rushed for 161 yards and three touchdowns to carry Van to a 45-14 rout of Palestine on Friday at Van Memorial Stadium.

The Nebraska commit scored twice on the ground and the other by reception. His 50-yard touchdown run with 7:52 left in the third quarter kick-started a streak of 24 unanswered points scored by the Vandals (1-0) to close the game.

Alright young fella!

Looks like all the recruits had nice weeks except Boe Wilson, who got injured.

Dicaprio Bootle plays first game next weekend, no news on him.
Terry Wilson plays first game on Thursday.

Right now, I will admit this coaching staff can recruit. But so could that coach from the Oakland Raiderrrrsssss.

Show me some wins, then I will be convinced.
