I seriously doubt that Lavar Ball makes any team seriously consider passing on Lonzo. In high school, a parent can make a coaches life hell. In college, they can be tough but have no real authority aside from public comments they make. In the NBA, players are grown men. Parents have little to no impact. Who cares what they say on twitter.

Hoiberg got his NBA gig based on his performance as a college coach.

I don't think people took into consideration that he always had a reclamation project on his Team, that could have played for a top program, if not for disciplinary/eligibility issues.

He was never the quasi turn sewer water to wine Coach he was advertised to be.

He reminds me of Mike Brown by way of temperament.

Assistant Coaches can be nice guys, Head Coaches need to be able to put their foot down.
