The Thunder won the first game, early in the Season, fair and square.

Their 2nd win was minus Blake and Paul.

Westbrook is scary. But, he's a one man band.

The Clippers are better.

The Thunder have a punchers chance to beat anyone.

But, the Jazz are the only Team in the West that I can see them Winning a series against and that's only if Hill, Favors and Hood aren't healthy.

Yeah they're not beating a healthy Clippers team in a series. They just need to stay in 6th and hope Utah can pass Houston which seems unlikely

Depending on where we land, both Teams could be first round outs.

Clippers can beat Thunder, Jazz, Grizz.

A healthy Rockets, Spurs , Warriors?

Gone fishin...

We need to finish 4th or 5th and draw a good matchup.

So, how long before we start the Cousins to OKC, Celtics, Wizards this Summer trade talk?

I know its only been 5 minutes and they need to overhaul that roster.

But, Brow + Boogie ain't working.

Kings may end up the winners here after all.

I just don't get this resting of players bullshit. These are the same 82 games teams and players played in the 80s and 90s and no one purposely sat out because they were tired. Fucking Popovich man, he's the blame for this shit

Yeah, I understand why they do it, but I don't like it. Players today are soft. No other way to put it. When the 1972 Lakers had their 33 game win streak, they played 4 sets of back to back to back games and won every one of them. Before anyone tries to use the age excuse, in their starting lineup that Lakers team had Wilt (36) The Logo (34) and Happy Hairston (30).

Nowadays, guys rest just because it's the 2nd night of a back to back. If they lose the 2nd game of a back to back we always hear the "they were tired" excuse.

Again, I understand why they do it, but I don't like it. I think the league should step in and basically say that teams can have X number of "rest games" and that those games should be home games and tickets sold at a reduced cost.

Meh, I think they need to give it a little more time. You have 2 guys who are used to operating in the paint by themselves. Gonna take a minute to sort it out so they can learn to stay out of each others way.

Which was unthinkable when the trade went down.

"It'll be hilarious if the Pelicans knock out the Warriors in the first round."

Can't believe that was still mentioned at one point.

Yeah, shit like last night will cause fans like me to overreact.

But, Gentry parked his ass on the bench for almost the entire 4th quarter and all of overtime and Davis exploded in a win.

Bad optics for Boogie.

I think you are vastly underestimating the Clippers.

I'm not. Have you seen OKC play? They couldn't even beat a bad Blazers team with Russ scoring 58. That team is going nowhere. Spurs, Warriors, and Rockets all beat them in 5. Clips do it in 6. I would put money on them not beating the Clippers in a series

:tsk:

Yeah, games aren't played on Paper.

If they were, the Clippers would have made a Conference Championship by now.

Excuse me, I have something in my eye, my allergies are bothering me.

Well, the one thing I did fail to mention in my post was that, the attitude/maturity of Boogie will go a long way to determining whether or not it will work.

Both guys are going to have to be willing to sacrifice a little in order to make it work. The Brow will probably be willing to do just that. Boogie? Who knows? With him, the willingness to sacrifice a little could change from game to game or even possession to possession.

You are. Have you seen the Clippers ability to choke in the first 2 rounds of the playoffs? :dhd:

Yeah, I'm a realist about my Team.

But, they can beat the Thunder, Griz and Jazz.

I will say, I like the Taj acquisition.

The Clippers could use a tough, grind it out guy likely him.

Anything can happen in a series. But, if I'm betting money, and it's the 1st round....

Yeah, Clippers.

They have yet to get over the mental hurdle of round two.

So, I'm not sure I'd pick them as the victor outside of the opening round.

I love that last part. Nba should give out rest games at reduced pricing. At least in baseball players who sit still can come in and pitch hit. These mugs sit or don't even show up for a game.
