@TurnUpTheHeat damn...i really thought you would be able to brag about getting a meeting with Blake Griffin this offseason....so sorry about your luck.

Serge Ibaka and Danilo Gallinari will be out there though! Gotta spend that cap space on someone before 13M of it gets sucked up by TJ's contract jumping from 6M to 19M the following summer.

Rudy Gay? JJ Redick? Jeff Teague- CMOOOOOOOON DOWN!!!!!!

Agree. The C's should have a list of "untouchables" and if the Bulls want any of those guys, then just hang up the phone. Butler represents an opportunity to accelerate what they are building, but it would be foolish to start sacrificing what they have set up for the long term to try and win right now.

Hey, did you see the Lou to Utah rumor?

Would you want a pick or......Exum?

Frankly, I'm off the Exum train.

He's a very poor man's Clarkson.

You already have one of those.

Redick is in the wind this Summer.

So, I'd give up everyone outside the top 3 for Melo.

Clippers window closes when Paul is no longer effective.

...and by window I mean getting out the first round, not a chip.

Short of LeBron, no player could elevate them into the Championship conversation.
you just never know though Mecca.

You think anyone in Dallas expected them to win?

Things can and do go wrong all the time. The Warriors will be thinner than a sheet of tissue paper next year and if they get unlucky and have 1 of their big 4 injured anything is possible. Its not like Kyrie and Love are models of great health.

IF the Clippers send a team with Jordan/Griffin/Paul to the playoffs 5-6 times over the entire course of this run- one of those times they are gonna stay healthy- and if they get a little luck its not impossible they pull it off.

i would take exum in second.....especially with his defensive potential considering the Lakers perimeter defense could BADLY use a guy like that.

Point was made to anyone who was following along that could comprehend better then an 8 year old.
I'm not surprised at all that you couldn't/didn't.

well- let me try and tell ya this as directly as possible

NOT HAPPENING.

This is what is going to happen with the new CBA---- 10 years ago- MAYBE Griffin gets dealt....now? no fucking way.

resigns. going no where. just like practically ALL the high level guys.

Who cares?

You talk ALOT of shit for a Cavs fan (this year at least).
Until last June and a few fortunate breaks, they couldn't win anything since 1970.

Once James leaves, you can put that year on their tombstone cause they'll never win anything again.

So what's your window?

Warriors are clear favorites.

Enjoy.

Definitely the pick. I'm also off the Exum train. Looks like the Wizards and Jazz are both interested in Lou and the Lakers want a first round pick. That would be ideal in this draft, especially if they keep their lottery pick.

i kinda like Exum's game as a compliment to Russells though- especially since they both have enough size to switch- one guy brings a little more athleticism and defense while the other brings more offense and floor spreading.

as high as exum was rated, considering he missed substantial time with an injury- i wouldnt write him off just yet.

Exum is still only 21 years old. Being a star? thats not gonna happen- but being a pretty good player is still definitely on the table.

I the Clippers get the right 1-2 players (mainly SF), they could really compete with best. (sounds like they are trying with Melo) They would just have to find the right players at reasonable cost. Looks at what Rockets did to get a couple of guys who fit their system. Guys like Ben McLemore, Evans, Affalo, Iggy, Gay, VinceC, Sullinger, Muhammed, Lawson or Collison may fit within what they can do (not all are free agents -- but guys like Ben have no role now).

You have a 2-year window.

your Heat will continue to be irrelevant until they can add a #1 and right now they have zero means of doing so.

trade for Blake and sign Heyward in the offseason?

THEN we would have a Conference.

but- Blake isnt going anywhere- UNLESS the Celtics just got nutty with it.

If they offered both Nets picks, Crowder, and Rozier--- that would be awful hard to turn down.

29/30 don't win the Championship, and 15 of 16 playoff teams end the year with a L.
I'll be ok...
It's entertaining to me either way.

And Cleveland will be irrelevant for another 50 years after LeBron leaves

3 >1
you ever hear of Kyrie Irving?

i wouldnt trade Kyrie for any combination of 5 players/picks the Heat have. If you literally told me- take any 5 players off the Heat for Kyrie- i would say- forget about it.

I dont think the Heat have the worst collection of talent in the league- but its right there behind the Nets and Magic and Kings.

he makes 16.4M a year----- 5/82- and he CAN switch defensively and is a huge asset in the open space of the new NBA- NEVER misses a game, and has the best work ethic i have seen this side of LeBron James. The Cavs dont win the Finals without him- AND he is the Cavs 4th best player.

If Whiteside was his teams 4th best player and made 16 a year- that is a LOT more palatable

but it wouldnt change the fact he cant shoot, cant pass, cant switch defensively and will always have to be babysat.

do you think you would ever hear Tristan Thompson say, after a humiliating loss, basically- -"its not my fault- i covered my guy". lol.

Yawn
