YAH 3 months of watching Ennis and Napier play- 2 pretty much nonprospects- and hes trying to include them in them as future building blocks

its like if i talked up McRaee and Felder as the future of the Cavs....its delusional and ridiculous homer bullshit on a level that I WOULD never even approach. Its humiliating.

2016- where are the big free agents? Where are NApier and Ennis? LOL. gmafb
he has some decent size and a little bit of game.....if for some reason things get acrimonoius and JR does not get signed (which i dont anticipate- but you need to plan for every contingency), it seems like a combination of McRae and Dunleavy would absorb much of JRs' PT and you could definitely do worse.

exactly....i mean think about it...Evan Turner is making Kyrie Irving money. Timo Mozgov is making Tristan Thompson money. Nik Batum is making more money than Kevin Love.

Cavs were extremely smart to lock in their guys pre-cap jump- just like you said. And they still have a phenomonal GM in Griffin who has executed great deals on the periphery to bringi n very important players like Richard Jefferson, Channing Frye,- Dunleavy now etc....

and when you are Dan G.- and even when you dont have draft picks -you can just have him slap down the most EVER someone has paid for a 2nd round pick to draft a guy like Felder.

Dan G's huge wallet
LeBron's recuriting
Griffin's genius maneuvering

thats how you keep adding to a team like the Cavs even when your cap is already spent tying up your key core guys.

I love Chris Paul. I think he elevates every player on his team -- that's what you want out of a point guard. I just don't know how good he'll be at 37 . . . but the Clippers need him.

He's already regressed and his body is falling apart.

But, the Clippers have no choice.

how many big time players are free agents that are likely to move come the summer

how about a BIG FAT ZERO. lol.

MAYBE- MAYBE- you will get a Gordon Heyward- but supposedly he isnt going anywhere either from what i have read.

This new CBA has made those type of guys even GETTING to free agency a helluva lot less likely- let alone ACTUALLY leaving.

I pity the teams that will try and depend on free agency to get a big fish in the upcoming years because it will be OVERWHELMINGLY rare.

I saw some nonsense online about him going back to Nola....lol

Cousins HATES Chris Paul.

Spurs would be a good spot.

Cousins, speaking with Bill Simmons of Grantland, was talking about Blake Griffin when the Kings center turned the discussion to Paul.

  • Simmons: “I thought you guys had a little beef, right?”
  • Cousins: “Nah.”
  • Simmons: “Nothing?”
  • Cousins: “Just a little rivalry, but I don’t have a problem with Blake.”
  • Simmons: “Didn’t you guys almost get in a fight once?”
  • Cousins: “No.”
  • Simmons: “Altercation? Argument?”
  • Cousins: “No.”
  • Simmons: “Nothing?”
  • Cousins: “No.”
  • Simmons: “You sure? I feel like I was at a game where that might have happened.”
  • Cousins: “No.”
  • Simmons: “There was some talking?”
  • Cousins: “Probably me and CP, but not me and Blake. I don’t have a problem with Blake.”
  • Simmons: “Oh, you’re one of the guys who doesn’t like – there’s a lot of guys who CP kind of bugs.”
  • Cousins: “Yeah, I dislike CP a lot.”

Hard to say. There are definitely rumors out there that the Bulls are at least listening to offers. The Bulls need to rebuild, but they have to decide if they want to try to rebuild around Butler, or if they want to strip it down to the foundation and rebuild.

It may well be that if someone is willing to make them a great offer they will go with the full rebuild and if not, they will look to rebuild around Butler. They definitely aren't going to just give him up for spare parts though. If they move him, I expect it will take some combination of young players and draft picks.

If the Bulls do move him and it's not to the Lakers, I hope he goes to the Celtics (as a Lakers fan, I just threw up a little lol). That could make the Eastern Conference playoffs a lot more interesting.
Well, it's looking like they're gonna keep him....HOWEVER, just give it some time. I think it'll eventually reach a point where Butler doesn't want to be involved in a rebuild, and then that's when they'll move him

I just saw that the Pelicans are willing to go max or near max on Holiday.

That's insane.

Lowry? Sure.....can't not pay him after the Derozan deal.

But, Holiday is chronically broken...

I think Milsap and Gordon could leave.

the best free agents that have a better than 2% chance of moving

Heyward- ill say 5% chance he leaves
Lowry- ill say 5%
Milsap- ill say 5%- though- if they werent gonna max him- why pull him off the market completely?
Jrue Holliday- now that they have Cousins? probably a lot less
Gallinari- 75%
Ibaka- 50%
George Hill- 25%
Dwade- 50%

guys that have ZERO chance of moving
Griffin ZERO
Paul ZERO
Curry ZERO
Durant ZERO
Otto Porter Jr (restricted) ZERO

the top guys and best players? GOING NO WHERE.

I heard the Hawks are keeping milsap- and that if they didnt meant o keep him they would have dealt him.

Gordon yah--Gallo yah....

Heyward is by far the biggest prize that has any chance of moving- and that is a pretty small chance.- and if he goes anywhere i coudlnt see him going anywhere but Boston to reunite with Stevens. That could be why the Celtics seem lukewarm on paying the price for Butler.

The Summer.

I think he will go to Boston or the Lakers if they have a top 3 pick

Neither team should take another pg and Fultz and Ball are going top 3.

Yep.

I have been on the fence about him staying.

But, the difference in the Clippers play , with , and without him is ridiculous.

The guy is that good.

But, his contract will be utter Shiite in 2 Seasons...lol
He'd probably age gracefully if the clippers ever put a SG/SF that can get buckets(melo comes to mind for the short term)

Yeah, Gallinari is another talented, but oft-injured prize.

The Nuggets aren't paying him.

Are you surprised about the Reggie Jackson/Drummond/Favors rumors?

Haha. I would like to have him as long as the cost is fair. They're gonna want a lot for him (as they should), but if we're going to part with Nets picks, I don't want to also strip away too much of the core. I feel that could be counterproductive.

Agree. The C's should have a list of "untouchables" and if the Bulls want any of those guys, then just hang up the phone. Butler represents an opportunity to accelerate what they are building, but it would be foolish to start sacrificing what they have set up for the long term to try and win right now.

Redick is in the wind this Summer.

So, I'd give up everyone outside the top 3 for Melo.

Clippers window closes when Paul is no longer effective.

...and by window I mean getting out the first round, not a chip.

Short of LeBron, no player could elevate them into the Championship conversation.

not really on Drummond and Favors-

playing 2 guys that are non-shooters together- with Gobert- means Favors is expendable- especialy at the contract he would want.

and at some point with Drummond- basing your team around a big who cant shoot, and cant pass- kind of wears on you. It caps your teams ceiling out. I dont tink Drummond will move- or Favors- becuase each would have to be moved at a lot less than what their team would like to get for either one.

No one wants to give up real good assets for a big man who cant shoot in todays nba.
