Have you checked out the rest of the New Orleans roster? Not scary at all. They basically have Holiday and Jones as the only solid basketball players after the big 2. Also is 25 games with barely any practice enough time for Davis and Cousins to get used to playing with each other? I just can't see them winning 2 games from the Warriors. I can see a competitive 5 game series but 6 games? No way

To be fair, IF (and it's a big if) Hield can start shooting like he did in college, this trade may end up not looking as bad as it does now. The problem is, that's a very big if.

I have a gut feeling that eventually it wont be viewed as that lopsided.

To me, the only question is , could they have gotten more?

Keeping him was going to lead to what?

Fair enough, I hope you're right. The Warriors just lost a game in Denver and they only had Jokic. A random regular season game granted but still.

Have you guys ever thought about how this trade could backfire against the Pelicans? What if Cousins leave next summer? They would have gave up their 2016 and 2017 1st round picks for a guy who stayed for a little more than a year and likely didn't reward them with a title

I think they will see how good they are with him, and if it's working they can convince him to sign up. If it's not they can trade him again next year.

Yeah, but Jimmy Butler is an all star level player and he's only 27, so he's got a few good years left. He's also the type of player who could attract good FA's.

Ive watch a shit ton of basketball this year. Do to league pass. But Jimmy Butler is a bonafide stud. He can go toe to toe with any of the best SF on any given night.

I haven't left looked at their schedule, but Ill guess 15 wins.

It's not that tough but as you know there are not many guarantee W's in this league so who knows. The one thing that pops out to me as I just quickly viewed it is that they play Denver 3X in the final 2.5 weeks of the season including a H&H in early April
