You could be right.
Evans, Mcelmore, Malachi Richardson, Afflao, Galloway, Buddy....
Way too many sg's.
Lmfao....what are the Kings thinking.
in order to match - yah i could see that- if they could have traded say Ingram, Zubac/Nance etc. (whatever secondary ancillary pieces they would have wanted), and either one of Deng/Mozgov for Cousins and didnt do it- thats a big time failure in my eyes. They would have needed to stretch Mosgov, wouldn't they?
Or, throw in Deng for salary?
Sounds like that's the plan, but I could also see them keeping him through the rest of the season with the injuries they've had to deal with. I'd rather watch Tyreke Evans for 25 more games as a King over Matt Barnes.@Bolts you think the Kings buyout Evans?
that would be an interesting "playmaker" for the Cavs to take a look at....i know they kicked the tires on him last year.
Seems like there could be some interesting names available at the buyout deadline for the elite teams to fight over.
should be interesting.

If the Pelicans had thrown some of these into the trade offer, I might have been okay with the deal.@Bolts
Nothing really to say, so maybe this will make things better.
I'd send you some if you'd like.
The only downside of the trade for the Pelicans is having 2 dominant bigs in a guard driven league. If their guards can be average, they'll have a chance to be a real threat. I'm hoping Denver makes the playoffs over them though, Kings could really use that 2nd lottery pick right now. There had to have been a better deal that could've been made. If the league is so concerned about competitive balance (like they are with free agency), the NBA should veto this trade. The scales are so unbalanced on this one. Kings go from decent to horrible, while Pelicans go from below average to possibly a major threat to any team, including Cavs, Spurs, and Warriors. It'll be interesting to see how Davis and Boogie work together, but the sky's the limit.

I was more willing for him to be on the team initially because Joerger knew him from Memphis and could possibly keep him in check. After the night club incident and the multiple tech's he's gotten, I've gotten to the point of being okay with letting the hometown hero go. But right now he's their 1 healthy SF on the roster, so I don't see him going anywhere. But Barnes is a hometown hero (or home area hero since he's from Carmichael). My friend went to school with him and said he was a real jerk. I guess some things never change. Despite that, I've been happy to see him doing well for the team he probably grew up rooting for.

it's the kid's first year...
might wanna give him a LITTLE more time...
I watched until the Walking Dead came on.
The Greek Freak was sensational in the All Star game. He's a beast.
The fact that they can both score from the inside and outside makes the dynamic interesting to watch. I haven't really cared to watch much GSW this season because they usually dominate, but I wanna see how this matchup works out.But they are bigs that you can keep on the court in small ball lineups.

this is pretty much the consensus that i have read: that guys like Ingram very rarely rebound from such abysmal starts to be stars.Just more proof that Wiggy only looks at box scores. Virtually everyone around the NBA see's Ingram as a potential star...but Wiggy thinks he knows more than they do.
The kid is 19 and rail thin. Of course he was going to struggle in his first season, especially since he's also been playing 2 positions most of the season.
He does seem to have the necessary work ethic to maximize his abilities. Of course, that doesn't mean he will, but he certainly should be given longer than until the ASB in his first season to prove himself.
Having said that, if I were to guess, I'd say that the Kings probably wanted more than just Ingram and the Lakers may not have wanted to risk Boogie's attitude messing up their young roster.
Part of the answer would likely be in who backed away from the deal. If it was the Lakers, then the Kings probably wanted too much in addition to Ingram. If it was the Kings, then the Lakers may have been insisting on including Mozgov or Deng.
I would hope so. Zero defense was played that game.
I still watch it (mainly because there's nothing else on). But, last night may have been my last one. I had considered going to a movie instead of watching the game and about halfway through the 2nd quarter I found myself wishing I had gone to the movie.
