What are the odds that the Warriors " rest " Durant on Saturday?
It would look kinda douchey to me, like he's scared of the reception.
But, the other games were so lopsided that they could win without him.
So, I wonder....

Whoa. No way they could do that -- it would be better if he went out and shot like 2-10 or something like that.

It would look like KD needed a "safe place".

The one thing to consider is Melo might actually try the hardest he ever has to excel in Cleveland. For his buddy, for a ring, to stick it in Phil Jackson's face, etc.

No way I'm trading Love for Melo, but I wouldn't assume Melo couldn't help the Cavs.

Some of his best play has been during the Olympics, so he's shown he can blend in quite well with other stars.

Melo couldn't help the Knicks so why would the Cavs want him?

I'm no big Melo fan or defender, but the Knicks shitfest is on the hands of Phil, not Melo.

I think if Cavs added him while keeping their current Big 3, a series vs Warriors is basically a toss up.

Melo would destroy team chemistry in my opinion.

It definitely wouldn't hurt as some suggest. I still take GS in the finals though.

I would too, but , the Cavs could throw some crazy rotations at them.
Chances are, it becomes a shooting contest.

So I guess this thread puts to rest the myth that 10,000 posts will break the internet?

He needs to go through it. Learning experience and all. Plus there's the odds that you somehow meet the Thunder in the playoffs, he'll have to play at OKC eventually. Get the butterflies out of the way.

I don't think Melo would help out the Cavs anymore then Love does, which Love has elevated his play this year.

Having said that, I agree. The shit fest in NY is all done by Phil. Outside of Porzingis and the Rose rental, he's done everything wrong in his role with that team. Dolan needed to throw money at a proven GM/President like West or Presti instead of Phil and say I'll stay the fuck out of your way why you make shit real.

Why? He loves LeBron and he was an outstanding Olympic teammate.

Too be fair, you're not playing against NBA competition across the board in the olympics. It's a lot easier to look in sync with one another when you have a significant talent advantage against teams not Spain.

In the Past week the Kings have beat the Warriors and Celtics(by 16 without Cousins), while losing to the Suns and Bulls. :puzzled:

Sure, but basically it comes down to Melo being a great #3 type player, he just can't be the man. He could help the Cavs if they keep Love, I was just joking upthread. Warriors do not want to see him in Cleveland.
