Wiggy disagrees. According to him, money is never an issue for Gilbert. In fact, I'll bet that if you ask nice, he'll tell you all about how much he's paying over the cap and how high his luxury tax is and how it's a hobby for him (only he'll use a whole lot more words than I did).


Another way of looking at the bold is that if they had paid Delly the money, they wouldn't need to add anyone right now.

I wouldnt pencil anything in, but that should be the case.
We were down 18 to Nets in 4th qtr during this streak.

So, only 2 teams this season have a winning streak of 12 or more this season

Heat and Warriors.

If I'm the Cavs, I'm staying the hell away from Melo, even if the Knicks gave him to them for nothing and paid his salary. There is literally nothing the Cavs need that he brings. He doesn't play defense, he's not a great rebounder, he's not a playmaker and he can't play point guard.

Plus, he'd completely mess up what the Cavs do offensively because he'd be dribbling the ball for 15 seconds and then shooting.

What are the odds that the Warriors " rest " Durant on Saturday?

It would look kinda douchey to me, like he's scared of the reception.

But, the other games were so lopsided that they could win without him.

So, I wonder....

The one thing to consider is Melo might actually try the hardest he ever has to excel in Cleveland. For his buddy, for a ring, to stick it in Phil Jackson's face, etc.

The way you handle that is the way James/Heat destroyed the Cavs/Gilbert in that Dec 'homecoming', 2010.

Of all the Heat games during his 4 seasons here, that will always remain one of my favorites.

Only 3 current players could put them on, or near, equal footing with the Warriors.

Kawhi, for his offense and defense, The Brow * see Kawhi and a less neurotic/petulant version of Cousins, who would destroy them in the paint.

But, that would only be the case if they got one of those guys WITHOUT losing Kyrie, Love or Bron.

Plus, that version of Cousins doesn't exist and they have zero assets to acquire him, or any of the three, if he did.

Injury, Draymond's mind games blowing up in tneir faces is their only hope.
