If the Wiz and Cavs do meet in the playoffs... Love's performance in the series will be critical. Its a good matchup for him.

If I had my wish, the following would be the Cavs road to the finals.

Round 1- Chicago
Round 2- Wizards
ECF- Celtics

LOL did you guys hear Ty Lue after the game?

"We're going to trade Kevin Love tonight. 39 & 12, yeah we're going to trade him"

Isola took a few to the chin last night for that garbage stunt.

I was listening to him this morning, and he's still claiming it is/was true.

That doesn't mean anything, but he didn't back off, plus his opinion was that the move would be beyond stupid.

He also said James didn't deny it, just said it was garbage and the timing of it was garbage, etc..

In the same q/a after the game, James was saying things that were the exact opposite of what he was saying just a week or so ago, so like always, take his words with a grain of salt.

But knowing my luck, the Cavs road to the finals would probably look like this instead:

Round 1- Detroit
Round 2- Atlanta
ECF- Toronto

Interesting. The thing is, though, before LeBron even commented, several much more respected journalists put their own reputation on the line and tweeted that he was wrong.

Isola seems pretty alone on this one.

He's a big boy and he is standing by his comments. He was Mike and Mike this morning. At the end of the day, what he said may be true or it could be false but we will never know. Even if it was true, do you think the Cavs reaction would be any different? Either way they would deny it.

I don't really care. Better opponents means better opportunity to gear up for the finals. I honestly think that was part of the Cavs problem in the first few games last year. Then again, easier opponents means more rest and health.

If it were true and a potential deal was still possible... I definitely don't think they would have been so forceful in the denial.

If it were true but they knew LeBron wasn't gonna get what he wanted and it wasn't happening... yeah they probably would've said similar things.

BUT... if it were true... would multiple well-sourced national reporters be almost instantly tweeting out that the report was "bullshit" and "fake news" and "completely made up"? I very much doubt it.

If Melo is traded to the Cavs by the deadline, would you make a public apology to Frank Isola on this thread?

If he's traded to the Cavs, for Kevin Love, then yes, I absolutely will.

Only 5 players in the league are averaging 20, 5, & 5.

The first 4 are pretty easy to come up with. The 5th is flying under the radar. Any guesses?

Did you read Isola story? He never said Lebron was pushing for Love to get traded. It is more that he's pushing for the Cavs to get Melo which I do believe

Honestly, no, I just saw the headlines and heard them talking about it during the game. I'll check it out.

It seems like that's what LeBron and Lue and were most upset about, though, the Kevin Love part of the story much more so than the Melo part.

LeBron pushing Cavs to get Carmelo even if trade includes Love

"According to a league source, LeBron is the one pushing the Cleveland Cavaliers front office to acquire Carmelo even if it potentially means having to include Kevin Love in a deal, which is something Cavs management is opposed to doing"

Ok, see, I would totally buy into LeBron pushing for the team to get Melo.

The part of Isola's story that I don't buy, and I think the part that made his story such a big firestorm was where he said "even if it means trading Kevin Love".

Of course LeBron would want Melo on the team. I can't imagine him being ok with losing Love to get him though.

Round 1- Detroit
Round 2- Atlanta
ECF- Toronto
Round 1- Miami
Round 2- Wash
Round 3- Boston

becuase it would be the most fun. Showing Isiah Thomas that the 4th qtr. of the ECF is a little different then the 4th qtr during regular season games in December, January and February would be a lot of fun.
