I'd love to see the Cavs implode more than anyone else on this board. Having said that, I recognize fake news for real news. As soon as its reported by multiple (more than 3) reputable news outlets, then I'll believe it has legs. But the move doesn't make any sense at all. Love's playing good right now and is in his late 20's.
Love is cheaper, signed for longer, younger, and better then Melo. If I were to guess its just Phil playing games.

I literally laughed out loud as this.

Might mean I'm a bad person.

Let's logically break it down.
Said person unexpectedly gets blood clots.
Said person is given every opportunity to recover, taking as long as it takes.
Said person goes off medicine, and blood clots reappear.
Said person for the last year has done nothing more physical in his propaganda videos but shoot jump shots.
Said person then gets very upset at the people who apparently are protecting him from himself.

Said person always seemed the the 'smart one'.

It's beyond comprehension to me.

its a great point.

As we can all see...RW really only started entering his prime and becoming a big time assist guy around 26 years old. Curry only became an ALL NBA talent around 26-27. John WAll is playing the best ball of his career at 26 years old

Kyrie is only 24. You are absolutely right that he is only going to continue to improve. He has more 10 assist games this year than in the last 3 years combined and the year is half over.....hes gonna continue to get better and better until he enters his prime.

This is just my opinion but i think Irving is going to be better than both of those guys. He can drive to the hoop and finish like Russell, but shoots a higher %, and can shoot the 3 just like Curry...He is like a hybrid of both of those players without both of those players weaknesses.

I didn't listen to any post game, but story said "James".

I know better than to take all of James' words as gospel, but if he said the story is nonsense, then believe it.

James wants to win.
Exchanging those 2 players would greatly lessen his chances.

even if tomorrow he had his knee broken by some maniac with a sledge hammer and never played pro-basketball again it would have been stupid to trade him. He hit one of the biggest shots - if not the biggest- in the history of the league and was instrumental in bringing the first championship to Cleveland since 1964.

Under no circumstances do you even DREAM about trading him unless you were given an offer that was so overwhelming you ahd to take it.

My biggest concern about him was his health, but so far, so good.
No reason to move him as long as James is around.
Once he's gone though...get some assets, cause the cupboard will be empty and the rebuild is coming.

ehh...id love to say he will- and you can make some arguments--- i mean- Kyrie is 24, Curry is 28- and Kyrie has outplayed them head to head overall.

Curry is probably the greatest shooter in NBA history though--- and RW is a freak athlete who is a great 2 way player.

on the court tonight- John Wall is a FREAK athlete- he is a much better athlete then Kyrie Irving- Kyrie will never be able to do some of the things Wall has the potential to do- particularly on the defensive side------ but Kyrie is the more skilled basketball player- the smarter basketball player- the more clutch basketball player.

Kyrie's lack of RW, or Wall or Rose in-his-prime level athleticism- i think will limit him to reaching MVP level status like RW and Curry have been at or near------ but i think it is clear that Kyrie- who at 24 will be in his 4th all star game- already is on the track to Springfield someday because of how immensely skilled he is and how his sense of the moment is 2nd to no one playing in the NBA.

you remember pictures of Kyrie when he came into the league? he LOOKEd like a 19 year old kid- he didnt look like a freaking beast like a Wall or a Rose. Compare that to now where he has had time to mature physically and get on an NBA weight training program and the 2 versions dont even look near the same. curry grew out of injury problems as well. Kyrie has really worked on his strenth and conditioning and it makes a big difference in staving off injury.

Lots of the one and dones look like that, then are going to shitty teams.
It's hard to live up to the hype.
An example this year is Ingram.
In person, he looks like a toothpick.
These kids need a few years to mature, plus the benefits of professional trainers and equipment.

When Kyrie was a rookie, my son volunteered a few times to help with some training sessions/pick up games ( with other NBA players), and told me Kyrie was lightning quick.

No Kawahi tonight versus the Grizz.

smells like a bogus injury report to get around the healthy resting of players crap

sigh....it is getting old Popovich

He rests a player every other night nonstop now.

Must be nice for the Spurs to still win most of their games despite resting players all the time. I mean not nice for people who paid to go see them and want to watch the full spurs team play every night, but nice that it doesn't significantly ruin their chances of winning 50+ games every year.

If a coach was able to win 5 titles with the Kings franchise, I'd never question a decision he made for the rest of his career. Hell, if he got 1 title I wouldn't question him.

Seriously. If anyone's noticed, the Spurs and Patriots as it comes to winning in their respective leagues are parallel in nearly every faucet. Strange times.

The differences are that right now the Spurs aren't the clear cut top team in the West like they've been before(while NE is in the AFC) and their leader through all these titles has retired. Oh and the cheating part.
But yeah, they have very similarities with all this winning over the past 15+ years.

I am just getting tired of it. I know it supposedly works, but it is not fun as a fan.
At no point in 99,03,05,07, and 14 did anyone say "WOW. The Spurs are so fully rested."

If anything this crap cost the team the #2 seed in 2009 and 2015.
Both times they were one single REST game short.

2015 truly sucked, because the Spurs were the only team able to beat GSW. I truly believe they would have defended their title had they gotten that #2 seed, but Popovich rested them out by one game and they got the 6 seed instead.

2 games vs the Bulls, 2 missed calls at the end of the game involving Wade/Cousins going Chicago's way. Last time it was a "foul" on the missed dunk by Wade and tonight he clearly grabbed Cousins' jersey on the inbound play which helped him steal the ball and get the dunk. These refs are a joke at this point, one of the reasons I don't watch as much NBA as I used to. The Kings had no right to win that game anyway for the way they played in the first 3 quarters, but they also shouldn't have lost it because of another missed call.

Cousins also got 2 tech's including his 16th after that missed call which means he'll be suspended for a game. 16 tech's and they've played 52 games, that's pathetic. I don't care how many times the refs miss a call against Cousins, he needs to control his attitude. Crying to refs all the time is only going to hurt your chances at getting the calls in the future.

And now he will be suspended on every other T. Dude is approaching Rasheed Wallace territory
