becuase it would be the most fun. Showing Isiah Thomas that the 4th qtr. of the ECF is a little different then the 4th qtr during regular season games in December, January and February would be a lot of fun.

We saw that last season.
Celts aren't built for playoffs as is, plus they can't rebound at all.
Cavs would spit them out in 4 or maybe 5 once again.

Ok, see, I would totally buy into LeBron pushing for the team to get Melo.
The part of Isola's story that I don't buy, and I think the part that made his story such a big firestorm was where he said "even if it means trading Kevin Love".
Of course LeBron would want Melo on the team. I can't imagine him being ok with losing Love to get him though.

I agree with Wiggy on this one. How would "a league source" know this stuff ? Do you think the Cavs would call up the league office or other teams and share something like this even if it were true ? If it isn't in the league office -- what is the source ? (I'm sure if it was someone affiliated with the Knicks -- it would have been reported that way -- unless there were other motives.)

It could be Phil J looking to stir things up. Remember how all the Melo trade stuff started -- Phil's friend Rosen reported that Melo had "outlived his usefulness." (I can't really blame Phil J for trying -- he may have limited options. His best opportunity would be an "almost contender" -- team like Raptors, Wiz, Hornets, Grizz, Bulls, OKC, Clips, Blazers -- who want to take a chance they could do damage in the playoffs by adding Melo and decide to pay a healthy amount. Offers like Austin R, Wes J & Jamal C are funny.)

Ouch. Wiggins averaging 4 RPG and only 2.4 assists. (plus he hasn't been the lock down defender that he was advertised to be. I watched 2 recent games -- was kind of disappointed in him)

Love is cheaper, signed for longer, younger, and better then Melo. If I were to guess its just Phil playing games.

That would be my guess too. As I said before, Phil is a troll. The writer is Frank Isola who is pretty well respected and covers the Knicks. I'd bet that Phil had some staffer feed him the story.
