For bad teams, yes. It provides a lone bright spot to their season. It also lets the team have additional marketing opportunities to draw more revenue with an "all-star" to tout around.

It also generates more money for the players as most of the better ones are incentivized if they're picked to participate in All-Star & also All NBA.

I would have faked a injury if I was getting smoked like they were by the Warriors too.

As long as he's ready for the playoffs, we should see Dubs vs Cavs Trinity in June.

......unless someone suffers a catastrophic injury, makes a earth shattering trade.

Disagree. The all star game is for the fans. That's how the league has always promoted it. It's supposed to be who the fans want to see, not who the media or players want to see.

I don't think that I like the media voting. If we think about it- they get to vote twice. Once as a fan & once as the media. How would one regulate that?

I actually like when JVG calls games. I can appreciate his desire for consistency across the league in regards to the officiating. Mark Jackson- not so much. I feel like some of his comments about the Dubs have an undertone of hate/envy because he couldn't get them over the hump.

Cavs have the Spurs tomorrow. I want to see that one- see if the Cavs have committed to cleaning up their shoddy play of late. They seemed to look better last night- moving the ball etc- but its not hard to look good against the Suns right now.
