So Clarkson starts the whole nonsense, Dragic respond like any normal player, and then Clarkson hits him again.....Somehow Dragic gets ejected. These refs are a joke. I really hope Clarkson gets suspended a game for that garbage.

its the Cavs getting their OWN pick back. Portland has Cleveland's 2018 pick as part of the Varejao/Frye deal.

the Cavs reaquired their 2018 pick for their 2017 pick.

doing this allowed the Cavs to deal their 2019 pick to Atlanta. If not- they would have only been eliglbe to trade a 2020 pick- since you cant not have 1st round picks for 2 consecutive years.

So- all Portland did was get Clevelands 2017 first round pick for Clevelands 2018 first round pick.

The Cavs benefited because this allowed them to have the 2018- thus being eligible to deal the 2019.

Instead of having picks in 2017, and 2019- they just have their pick in 2018.

I know all of that.
So ill ask again, how does it benefit PORTLAND?
I see no reason why they would agree to a trade that only helps the Cavs.

Clarkson acted like a real tough guy/ piece of shit there for no reason.
Then takes a boxing stance.
GMAFB

Plus, hes fucking weird looking.
He looks like hes made of plastic.

Dragic didnt deserve an ejection.

I couldnt care less about losing though.
More potential lotto balls.

All this talk about the warriors bench is hilarious. Yea their bench is not as good and it will hurt them in the regular season to some degree. In the playoffs it really won't matter much. Rotations get much smaller and you depend on your stars much more. The way ppl are acting like having a deep bench is important in the playoffs is incredibly stupid.

Clarkson absolutely deserved the ejection, but don't tell me dragic was innocent in all of this. He couldn't keep his cool either and deserved to get tossed too.

They just got the pick 1 year earlier. Given the choice, I'd do it.

Theres no rhyme or reason to think the earlier year pick will be better then the following year.
Cavs HAD to make a deal.
My common sense tells me Blazers could have gotten more.
It makes no sense to me, at all, to trade even up.
Maybe get an additional 2nd rounder thrown in or something?

Could've sworn teams go in with a 8-man rotation come the Conference Finals and NBA Finals.

The Cavaliers are trading for Kyle Korver, who will help them with his 3-point shooting (no matter how weirdly you want to describe it). But LeBron James isn’t satisfied. LeBron, via Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com: “We still got a couple more things we need to do,” James said Friday, when asked if Cleveland’s pending trade with Atlanta for Korver was a “championship move.” “We gotta get a point guard,” James said. “It’s my last time saying it. We need a point guard.

you think they have 8-9 guys youd trust in a playoff series?

i kinda just breezed through the box scores in the Finals last year- and it seems they played about 9-10 guys a night- but only significant minutes for about 8 or so guys- depending on the night....which is probably just about right.

the guys after their big 4 just dont look as good anymore either. If Livingston and Iguadala were playing great- thats one thing- but- well especially iwth Iguadala- it looks like he def. isnt close to the same guy he was in the Finals 2 years ago

i gotta tell ya- im impressed Livingston is still playing and still doing well.

remember that knee injury he had?

i swear- THAT one, and Jason Kendall at 1st base are probably the most gruesome injuries that i can remember- the first ones that pop into my head when you think about this stuff...its amazing this guy is still even playing....look at that shit!!!

there is a nice shot of Adam Morrison sitting on the bench and clapping in the video as well that made me laugh.

Tyler has what to do with this?
At least Tyler is more talented and has always remained professional.
I get the emotion, but to assume a fucking boxing stance? GMAFB.

So, we're nearing the halfway point of this season.
Lets see your list of ejected/suspended players?

You still willing to bet Whiteside makes the list?

Joel Embiid has been unbelievable......holy crap has this guy been good. He is ALWAYS Gonna carry injury risk around with him.....for the rest of his career.

but if you go by just talent and ceiling- this guys ceiling is that of a top 5 player in the entire league....he can shoot 3's and free throws as good as just about any center and hes 22. Hes already an elite rim protector and rebounder. His athleticism is simply off the charts.

I bet Philly fans cant wait to see him and Simmons working together.

Embiid/Simmons, Giannis/Parker, Towns/Wiggins.........who will be the best duo someday?

Warriors problem is often they try to put on a show vs play a team game.
Losses like this will easily end up helping them more than hurt them.

So you know the year earlier pick is going to be a better player?
would you rather have a dollar today or a dollar a year from now?

plus- this years draft is supposed to be stacked- unlike last years which was supposedly pretty weak..

Stacked at the top.
Picks 28-30?
Total guess.

Im not saying it was a nonsensical move by Portland.
My thought process though, says Cavs HAD to make the trade, so Blazers could have asked/gotten a bit more.
