there are almost always multiple busts in the top 10 ofa first round- but the 2014 draft looks like one of the best in a long long time.
1. Wiggins- looks like a future all star
2. Parker- has looked great on the Bucks
3. Embiid- now that he is healthy- he looks really freaking talented- hopefully he stays healthy going forward
4. Gordon- has really looked good here and there on the Magic even though they got a bunch of PFs to take minutes away from him
5. Exum- prob. the guy that has done the least- but of course that was affected by his injury last year
6. MArcus Smart- already one of the best defensive guards in the NBA. Great athlete
7. Julius Randle- ive been very impressed with him.
9. Stauskas- pretty much a bust thus far
10. Vonleh- hasnt really made a mark thus far
now thats a damn good top 10 considering the early returns on these guys.
if you redid that draft - i am thinking it would look SOMETHING like
1. Wiggins
2. Parker
3. Smart
4. Randle
5. Gordon
6. Hood
7. Embiid
8. Payton
9. Capela
10. Saric
11. Exum
12. Warren
13. Nurkic
14. LaVine
15. Jokic
16. Clarkson
17. McDermont
18. G. Harris
19. T. Ennis
20. Vonleh
Because he had one injury in his career?
He's actually pretty damned effective. He just needs to learn when to shoot (which should be rarely) and I'll be happy. He plays outstanding D and actually has been running the offense very well for the 2nd unit, even the 1st when IT was out.I would not take Smart over Randle, Lavine, Hood.
Actually, I wouldn't want him period.
I hate his bitch ass. So, that could be clouding my judgment.
Oh well...I'm comfortable in my haterism.

The flopping is pretty ridiculous, but he plays hard and competes every night. I'll take the good with the bad. My biggest complaint about him is the fact that any time he makes a shot, it brings about at least a 5 minute heat check lol. You can't shoot Marcus, the sooner you accept this, the better off we'll all be.It's the flopping and murder ball tactics that I dislike.
In fairness, I have a Team full of flop kings as well.
@WiggyRuss half-dead Deng and a dime a dozen Clarkson are playing pretty well tonight.

yes they are having good efforts in what will be the teams 8th loss in 9 games.@WiggyRuss half-dead Deng and a dime a dozen Clarkson are playing pretty well tonight.
oh Deng definitely played great considering how he has played thus far this year- 15 points is double his season average of 7.5 pts a game.not that WiggityWack'll give cred where it's due...
that'd take CLASS...
no hate for DJ who says all Kyrie is good at is scoring when he goes for 12 dimes?@WiggyRuss half-dead Deng and a dime a dozen Clarkson are playing pretty well tonight.
oh yah...SMart is already a GREAT defender, and hes a great athlete...hes putting together an offensive game too that will only continue to get better....hes just nasty defensively. Id love to see that guy on my team. He's actually pretty damned effective. He just needs to learn when to shoot (which should be rarely) and I'll be happy. 21, 12, 6 and 3
pretty great all around game for KI.
just was getting interviewed post game--- was asked about the 7 days off- said it was good for him- that hed rather rest and miss 7 days than miss 7 weeks with an injury.
3rd in the NBA from mid range...over 40% from 3, and finishes at the rim as good as anyone ( did you see some of those layups tonight? holy shit) and is one of the must clutch players in the entire league. Might be the most complete offensive player in the game ...if you try and take one thing away he can just beat you so many different ways.Kyrie is a stud.
No doubt.
