A crazy trade I would like to see the Bulls make is for Noel. Trade Mirotic and a 1st for him(maybe another player). Noel would be a nice bench player for us and he gives us insurance if Gibson leaves after this year. Not saying Philly would do this but it would give them a stretch 4 and maybe Mirotic needs a fresh start.

Then go and trade for a good 3 point shooter. 6th man type.
ITs not a bad idea but Mirotic is basically a poor mans Dario Saric now though....kind of duplicative for the Sixers--- Noel would be a great add for whoever gets him though.

Noel is precisely the type of defender that is coveted in todays league- solid at guarding the rim, but his real value is being able to guard multiple positions and switch the pick and roll. He is in the same mold as a Thompson, Biyombo, etc.- probably with more upside really but he seems to be plagued by injury issues and his work ethic isnt exactly great from what i have read.

My dad is home from the hospital. He had a staph infection in his knee so they removed the whole knee and inserted cement blocks as "spacers" or some shit, I have it on good authority they are ACME quality so that's good. 2 weeks and they'll know if they need to amputate or not. He's doing as well as can be expected. Told him to enjoy my mom playing nurse maid.
Hey DJ! Didn't know about your Dad- I wish him well & hope no amputation is needed! :hope:

have you guys seen anything about max contracts changing?

that is the really interesting stuff....cant wait until more of the details of this CBA get made public. Should be EXTREMELY interesting....

im anxious to hear about:

A. max contracts

B. the schedule

C. If their is an amnesty provision in this CBA like the last 2 (i doubt it becuase of all the cap space teams have)

D. Contract length

E. REVENUE SHARING

F. If their are any provisions that make an easier for a team to keep its own free agents

and i am sure i am missing a lot more....this is like Christmas coming early.

So Whiteside's a rebound short of another 20/20 game.

Would really like to see Miami win this one. Would be nice to finish with 30-35 wins. Good enough to get a top 10 pick but not bad enough to scare free agents away

26 points and 21 boards for Whiteside. Looks like the Heat will pull this off.

Another Heat win. 2-0 on this 6 game homestand. Would be nice to win at least 4 games on this homestand.

Don't think our win total's going to scare away free agents. Especially with the Heat's track record, you're afforded a dismal season ever so often. I still don't see this team winning anything above the 25-28 wins I predicted at the beginning of the year. Granted, I didn't expect the myriad of injuries that we've had this early in the season.

Great game by Whiteside though.

Great game for Whiteside and nice win for the Heat.

Now to watch the Spurs dismantle the Celts.

I think it all depends on injuries. Team is not nearly bad as their record. If they didn't have to deal with all these injuries for the first month+, they would have at least 3-4 more wins IMO which would basically be a .500 record

If they stay pretty healthy from here on out, hard to see them not winning 30+ games especially considering how difficult the schedule been to start the year.

I guess Aldridge is out. Not sure that will matter in the outcome.

Who knows at this juncture? I don't think this is the worst team in the East as our ceiling is 6-8 seed in the East with this team. But given the start that we have, I'm not against some of these injuries that are usually a week to heal from, taking 2-3 so it helps improve our chances at the lottery.
