we shall see. book marked

Thanks. With the way the Cavs are playing and how hot the Pacers are, I think that is a 6 game series. If not a 6 game series then it is an extremely difficult 5 game series.

As for the Celtics/Bulls, you know how I feel about Boston in the playoffs. Chicago has guys who can win you games in Butler and Wade. Not sure who wins but it is a 6 or 7 game series IMO.

Ford: Ranking top 30 NBA draft prospects

looks like there are about 3 tiers at the top of this draft

the top 3 players really havent changed for a long time: Fultz, Ball and Jackson

seems their is a 2nd tier of between 4-6 guys about that includes Smith, Monk and Fox (all who i think can be really really good--- Smith and Monk in particular), and the Tatum, Isaac and Bridges.....

those top 3 are the no-brainer top 3 in the draft......

after that I think depending on whether you need a PG or a SG - taking Smith or Monk.....Fox is a little raw but has a lot of talent.

anyway- id be happy with a top 9 pick in this draft, ecstatic about a top 6 pick, and over the fucking moon with a top 3 pick.

Monk just looks like a killer. He needs guys around him- (as anyone does)- but i really like his scoring ability.

I think Monk is a tremendous fit with the Sixers. I think Smith would be a great fit with the Kings. I think Jackson would be a great fit for the Lakers.

The counter to that is that players contracts are just for 82 regular season games + preseason.
They don't get paid for playoff games in which the owners make millions.
Playoff game revenue = basketball-related revenue. Growth in playoff revenues equals growth in player salaries.

They had a story about the dad on the Palm Beach Post (West Palm Beach, FL.) who's a sheriff. Basically says that he doesn't get the opportunity to be in the kid's life because they're in a legal battle for custody or some shit.

The article made it seem like the mom's a real piece of work. Considering the mom has been raising the daughter the most out of the two - I'll believe the article's accuracy.

I'm too lazy to look it up.
Yep.

Mom is trying to say he just wants the money.

Cash me outside: Danielle's father speaks up

ehhh- yes and no

i think rest would have been nice- but i also think not playing ANY games for well over a week before ap layoff game is risking some rust too--- this way they will have about a week off- which seems about right.

That's why he could have played Monday.

I hear you, but there's a difference between not having the seeding as your primary focus, and going for an opportunity in front of you.

It still potentially matters.
Nobody thinks they won't beat the Celts, but it changes 2nd round matchups and it means they play ECF games 1&2 on the road.
Maybe they have to play 3 extra games during the EC playoffs before the Finals?

The bigger question is:

Would Carmelo waive his no trade clause to go there?

I think he'll be a Cav for Love if you guys flame out.
i HIGHLY doubt it- doesnt seem like there is any appetite for it from the CAvs unless they got a couple more additional pieces.

Just had to turn off ESPN. Stephen A. trying to bring race into the Mavs letting Tony Romo participate in shootaround and pre-game warmups.

I switched over to Undisputed when Skip left, since Shannon Sharpe brings a much better mix with Skip.

I've only seen First Take a couple times since then, and it's gone downhill. Who knew? Skip Bayless actually brought credibility and quality to that show. Odd.

so....the Heat need either the Pacers to lose to the Hawks (who have nothing to play for), or the Bulls to lose to the Nets.

if all 3 teams win- the Heat will miss the playoffs and have the LAST slot in the 14 team lotto. lol....now that would crack me up.
