At this point, Atlanta is my target team for Miami. Difficult schedule. If they go 1-4, then Miami just needs to go 2-2 over their last 4 to make it.

Seriously?!? The Lakers are supposed to do what? Tell a bunch of young guys trying to learn how to win in the NBA, to not win?

After drilling into their heads all season long about giving their best effort every minute of every game, they should tell them to stop trying?

Front offices tank, not players and coaches. Coaches and players only job is to win as many games as they can. It's what they are paid for. They are not paid to be concerned about anything but the next game.

The Lakers FO did their part to get the tank job started by trading away Lou Williams and shutting down Deng and Mozgov.

That made the rest of the season about developing the young guys. Part of their development is to learn how to close games (something they've struggled with all season). They have now closed out 2 close games in a row against playoff teams. I'd love for them to hang on to their pick, but not at the expense of the development of the young guys they already have.
