We'll see. I really don't know what GMs are thinking

The new TV money means we are in a transition period where the new deals are way 'too high' compared to the past. But soon $18 mil will be normal for a #4-5 type player.

Look at how little Curry is making. That's gonna change.

Exactly my point. It's why I think he will get around 18 or so but not on a long deal. I'll guess 3 yr/54 with a player option after year 2.

I think you are wrong- he will get under 18 a year for a variety of reasons.

What reasons?
Its hard to comprehend the crazy money being handed out, but it is what it is.
If he loves it here that much, and wants Riley to be able to add, he might give a hometown discount which taxes partially negates, but no reason to think he wont be offered 18M+ that I can think of.

Before last night.

Better chance Cavs lose before Finals or UConn doesnt win it all?

I just think a lot of teams already spent money--- not only did the cap go up a ton last year- the fact everyone had tons of money also inflated things a ton

i mean shit- id rather have waiters than bazemore or deng or mozgov or noah and i just dont think he will get that much. I think prices come down a little bit for that middle tier this offseason. The max guys will still get maxes but i think that middle tier wont be so high--- not only that- but Waiters is not exactly very good and is it would be a risk after having just one year thats better than medicore in the last few-- and one year where he is still shooting just over 42%, where he sat out twice with injuries for an extended period of time.

I think the market comes down a little
I think less teams will have money then last offseason
I think Waiters would only have 1 year in the last few where he was better than mediocre- a year where he sat out extended games twice with injuries.

id say there was a much better chance that UConn would have lost then the chances of the Heat beating the Cavs in a playoff series thats for sure.

Fuck these Hawks are useless. Up 100-91 with under 5 to go and now the game is tied at 102

I might see it tonight or tomorrow. Let me know how it is.
DO you watch Japanese Manga?

I don't. So, I had no expectations going in.

Visually stunning, really good CGI, predictable coda.

I liked it.

The 3 guys sitting in front of me, blithering like idiots, we're fucking furious....lol

Manga fans despised it. Casual fans enjoyed it.

My only complaint is the monotonous use of slow mo.

Another garbage bailout call in Chicago at the end of game. Almost identical to the garbage they called on Boston in Chicago in February.

3 way tie for 7th/8th now. Losing to the Knicks will probably be the reason we miss the playoffs.

Bulls/Heat/Pacers all 37-39 with 6 games left.

Bulls has the easiest schedule but they do play their next 4 on the road. Lots of winnable games though.

Miami and Indy both with difficult schedules.

I think the Bulls are in. Last spot will come down to Miami and Indy

Miami win the tiebreaker with Indy and loses it with Chicago. Indy and Chicago H2H was 2-2 this year so not sure who would win that tiebreaker.

Heat will make it

#destined

We need a healthy Waiters back though to have any chance to win a series.

I'm really not sure if they make it. We're obviously a bad team without Waiters in the lineup. Schedule isn't very easy
