I don't think he's getting 20 from anyone other than Brooklyn.

I say 12-15 mil.

But, like you said, look at Bazemore, Turner, Crabbe....etc.

So, I could be wrong.

....especially when you remember Biyombo got paid after a much smaller sample size.

You may be right. Teams may assume he only playing this well because it's a one year deal. He may have to settle for a 2 yr prove it deal for about 30 mil

well- you go ahead and give Dion Waiters a bunch of money and a long term deal and see how that turns out. Use all that Bosh money to pay Dion Waiters- or even half of it.

do you think they resign him? 3 years 45?

I think bks was very astute yesterday when he said injuries this season will affect his deal in the offseason. He'll probably get a short deal, like 2 years for 20-22 or so million which isn't too shabby based off his on the court production.

Yeah, I edited my post.

I think you are spot on with the Bazemore contract.

He's better than Courtney Lee, Afflao who got 12.

FFS, Jared Dudley got 10 mil.

Man....the Pelicans would have something if they could somehow convince CP to sign with them.....him feeding AD and Cousins? Maybe, add a shooter or 2 so they had guys to spread the court? They'd be scary. And I'm sure they don't have the $ for all that.

Won't happen though. I don't see CP3 going back to NO.

Yeah, Waiters is definitely going to get $20 mil.
The more I think about it......it's not out of the realm of possibilities.

His numbers are better than Crabbe's, Bazemore who got the 18 per.

His stats are totally in line with a player like Fournier, who did Jack shit his first couple of Seasons.

Evan puts up 17, 3 and 3.

Dion is at the 16, 3 and 4.

Fournier got 18 per.

A case could be made that the Magic has more talent, on paper.

Yet, Orlando hasn't sniffed the post season and the Heat are making something out of nothing.

If Waiters gets 18-20 million per season......that GM needs to be fired. I knew he'd been hurt this season but not 3 different times this season......until bks pointed it out. Just been getting back into it the last 2-3 weeks after football and the personal stuff I've been going through.

I think 18 is probably the minimum. Where he may wrong into trouble is # of years a team gives him. Not sure anyone wants to sign him for 4 or 5 years. I think he's getting a 2 or 3 year deal with opt out clause in final year.

Dion will prob get at the LEAST 12 million a year for 2 years and at the most 17 a year for 4 years.

Realistically- i think 3 years 15 a year is prob about where he SHOULD be--- but with NBA inflation who knows.

Bazemore just got 18 a year. Waiters is obviously better.

I ageee.
Hes already stated he and his family love it here.

We'll see if Riley can spin some of the free state tax Florida thing with Waiters. Hopefully Waiters can see that Miami's had a positive effect on his career and can see the long term benefits in making small sacrifices - taking a contract at $15-$17 mil per year. Sadly, I think he tries and goes for the max.
