Great stuff Face!!!!!
Yeah, I'm starting to think Face should run the Steelers' official website. Thanks, Face.
I've been reading a lot about how the Steelers have been tinkering with Tajh Boyd & Devin Gardner. Gardner was originally brought in & listed as a WR, but he has been receiving 2nd & 3rd team reps at QB. He saw some 2-pt/goalline work as well.
I'm wondering if they are considering the idea of implementing some read-option. Having a QB/WR like either of those guys would open up the playbook for those types of situations. Call them "2 pt Specialists" if-you-will!
That would prove to be miles ahead of Landry Jones' worth.
He's was a black hole on the 53 last year. I still see no reason for why they kept him around when they had talents like Mauro getting sniped off the PS. That still makes me raw thinking about it. Landry should have been cut after LY's inaugural preseason 4 game against Carolina. That should have been his final test. I would have kept Brandon Kaye(sp?) over him at the very least. If it forces a DC to spend an hour working on it...it might be worth the effort because they don't even have to think about Landry....I get the sense that he's not going to make it this year anyway.

Yea that was a bummer. But I'm glad Mike Adams showed more promise. Made me feel better about losing WJ.Agreed...they lost Wesley Johnson to the Jets too I think.

You know there would be 20-something odd teams all in the market for a quality backup OT that is still young. So Adams wouldn't have any trouble finding a contract. But I imagine PIT will want to keep him around. Unless they see a high draft pick in the near future worth developing. I'm interested to see what sort of progress they are making with Villanueva. Looks like he put on some mass this offseason.Adams has developed into a decent backup OT that can start a few games on the right side...it'll be interesting to see if PIT decides to extend him...only 25 or 26...good chance they will if the deal is cap friendly, because Heyward's deal is probably not going to be that friendly.
