Webb & Blake (someone please tell BW that he needs a grownup pair of trunks lol)... JJ in the pool
You know there would be 20-something odd teams all in the market for a quality backup OT that is still young. So Adams wouldn't have any trouble finding a contract. But I imagine PIT will want to keep him around. Unless they see a high draft pick in the near future worth developing. I'm interested to see what sort of progress they are making with Villanueva. Looks like he put on some mass this offseason.
Got to finally get out and hit the course today. Shot an 87 this morning. Wildly inconsistent on the back 9, but my irons were a thing of beauty all morning. I was sticking some 5-10 footers out there. If only my putting was there, I would have shot in the 75-80 range. I left a lot of strokes on the greens. Putting for birdie 5 or 6 times and leaving with par or bogey left a sour taste in my mouth! Need to get out more and polish up the short game!
Took a nap yesterday after golf and then I couldn't sleep!!!
I think Adams is going to have to understand that Villanueva is being groomed to be a cheap replacement, if he hasn't already. Its always a bummer watching players leave, but its business!Adams...yeah...I can see him starting for a few teams actually, but he's kept his nose clean, he'll get a mid-level 2nd contract in PIT or another team.
I read Villanueva is much bigger and has gotten run at 3rd team and 1st team LT when Beach took a day off...it could come down to him or Adams for that 3rd OT spot.
Man...you have pretty good scores playing so infrequently...I shot 87 last Sat. and it was my 5th weekend in a row playing!!
Striking it well off the tee overall, getting 1 or 2 birdies per round, but too many 6s...These have been hard tracks that we haven't played in many years...just branching out a bit lately...starting this week I think we'll be playing courses we know much better.
3 jack bogeys suck...3 jack pars aren't much better.
Talk about traveling 1st class!
