Drafting Chickillo is the main reason why I think they go 5 OLBs this year. But it will come down to ST play. Basically they are battling Garvin.

This is sort of how I see it:

Yep...Steelers Depot has Landry making it, and 10 LBs, Chick has a much better chance is they keep 10...but 10 could be iffy if they seriously employ much 4 DL looks Thomas chances go way up as the swing backup DT.

I think Landry is gone, and Mike Adams is in real jeopardy of losing out to Villanueva now that he is going to miss training camp.

I learned something...Didn't know Adams was missing camp...with so much camp left it's tough to be certain, but I think if the game got down to the 3rd QB, they may want a guy that can move the chains running or passing which give Boyd a huge leg up to get that job.

True that. But I'm still holding out hope that when Gardner gets his reps behind center, he will turn some heads. Having a QB3 that plays WR is an even bigger leg-up on the competition.

That alone could push DHB & Landry out the door and open it for another D-lineman or OLB.

I've never seen the kid play, but the dual role is attractive when it comes down to those last few cuts, and I think front 7 is where I would put the extra player too.
